I suspect Carrie's contract (like most actor's) had certain safety clauses to protect the studio's interests.

If she wants to keep her job she she's probably kissing a lot of @ss right now. Disney will turn right around and give her a list of expectations and it will include cleaning up her appearance.

Very likely between now and when/if she steps in front of JJ's camera she will be under the strict guidance of a personal trainer.

Carrie doesn't look to bad considering she rarely wears make up or flattering clothing and she's going to have Hollywood's finest make up artists, well may be Disney's to make her look beautiful again. This casting call recast is pure bs, if they were going to recast a primary role they'd have done it after both Carrie and Mark first fell off the fitness wagon months ago. Its more than likely at this late stage to be for a stunt double or stand in.

As for killing her off, i don't see how that would enhance the story thats supposed to see the Skywalker saga come to a conclusion. Its more likely, probably a certainty that Harrison's character will be given a big send off. He wanted a heroic death back in RotJ and i don't see him changing his mind, if anything its more important than ever but it should be kept for the end of Ep VIII or beginning of Ep IX. This trilogy especially the first chapter needs the whole gang still in place and there's a lot of brother/sister potential to be explored before killing either Luke or Leia.

I think we'll know soon enough though, she's due to fly in to the UK within the next four weeks but i wouldn't be suprised if she was sent earlier with Mark to conclude their training...... probably at the Priory clinic.

I think the rumor about Pinewood being rented out for all the sequels including an Indy 5 might confirm your suggestion about Harrison.

Sick of all this 'kill Han' $h!t. NO *********, he's the primary reason I want to see these films. Him and the Millenium Falcon.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Han already died at the end of ESB. All we saw in ROTJ was a domesticated shell of his former self.

Carbonite Poisoning, is that what kids are calling ***** whipped these days? :lol

Harrison's drug taking is purely medisinal, he needs it to calm is nervs, he always smokes before talk shows, it's well known.

I can't help to laugh at this, but I hope JJ brings a scene like the "Wanna buy some deathsticks character from Aotc" to **** with Harrison. :lol

Everyone loves Carrie. But she's a drug addict, and it's like a few here don't wanna come to terms with it or something. I think she's cool as hell, but I'm not gonna delude myself into thinking she's anything other than batshyyt crazy. (And that video she for sure she seemed up to no good) I for one hope she is leia and owns it!

Nobody's denying anything - but instead of being happy that she's 'back' so to speak, there's this relentless scrutiny.

Of course - the nature of the industry sets celebs up for that almost immediately, but Carrie Fisher's proven that she's a tough little nut. She's resilient, & is still in the biz. I'm sure she'll shut a lot of mouths come crunch time.

Half the finger pointers wouldn't last five minutes in that environment. :huh :lol

CF can at least claim she's doing better than Margot Kidder. :lol

Yup, buncha hypocritical idiots. :exactly:

:goodpost:

I don't remember Philip Seymour Hoffman getting this much criticism and he was shooting up on heroin, not like Carrie taking non-prescription medicines and smoking the odd joint to cope with her depression.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was in talks to play a beautiful Jedi princess? I hadn't heard. Well I doubt that would have worked on screen either then. Nobody is saying that Carrie should crawl off in a corner and die. I couldn't care less what she does in some parked car, if I did I'd probably have to boycott the work of 80% of Hollywood. Some of us just don't see her as being able to pull off Leia anymore. Harrison proved he could keep it respectable with old Indy so he gets a pass. Carrie and Mark? Not so much, but Mark is much more feasible.

Either way I'm assuming they'll keep her so I hope they defy the odds and she kicks *** (in whatever they have her do) and we all turn out to be pleasantly surprised.
