Nah, you're just duped by the black making him look thinner. The belly is still there. It pushes his flannel out of the way right about level with the bottom of dude's V-neck.

Yeah, that's her, name is Ashley Johnson... she is actually the actress who voiced and mo-capt Ellie in The Last of Us.
