You do not post about things that play out on screen you spin that **** to defend your outlandished assertion that RJ saved star wars and JJ backed him into a corner as an excuse to why he changed so much ****. Why plot threads that were set up by jj in force awakens were completely ignored by RJ because he had to save luke from the mess jj left him in. In doing so you have added a whole **** ton of conjexture and your own rationale to explain why his retcon makes sense a d had to happen. Anytime any questions you rant and rave about how they dont understand what they saw in either movie. Sort of sound like how people defended batman v superman, it was just beyond the comprehension of the average movie goer. But carry on, i wont be this thread much longer.. soon enough it will just be you and your buddies and you can all circle jerk to pictures of rj and laugh at all us idiots who were just too dumb to understand his greatness

I don't know what you're getting so worked up about. I'm sorry that you didn't like TLJ. I'm sorry that it didn't take the TFA storylines where you wanted them to go. But I can't help the fact that I liked TLJ. I can't help the fact that others liked it too. There are things about the movie that I actually hated . . . a lot. But it was closer to the kind of SW movie overall that I'd been hoping for since ROTJ than any other film in that time period. I found it more inline with how I wanted the saga to progress and evolve. You didn't. That's fine.

I enjoy back-and-forth discussions. I obviously don't mind having them with you, because I've chosen to continue to do so all along. If you no longer want to participate in this thread, that's unfortunate. Sorry to have annoyed you as much as I do, but it wasn't my intent. I just like this movie, and I choose to defend it when I think it's being unfairly criticized. You have the same right and opportunity to do that for TFA, or any other movie discussed in this forum.

Dammit ajp will you please stop attacking him with such statements! No one can endure such bullying for long. You're gonna get this thread shut down!

Some liked the movie others didn’t it’s just a movie for crap sake. It’s ok to defend it or hate it but but don’t make it personal.

Okay Freaks let's all be cool and be civil towards each other. You all can get you point across without resorting to name calling or insults.

Thread cleaned.

If we can’t just talk civilly then this thread will get shut down. Let’s not get heated in here.

Good post; other Freaks should pay attention and take a cue.

What Snoke did wasn't even an actual projection. He was bridging minds that were connected to the Force.

Thanks for the explainer, you're absolutely right.

Where did TLJ ever show that Luke was trying to kill himself!? Going to Ahch-To to die meant going there, and staying there, until death arrived naturally. What suggested he was there to commit suicide!?

Admittedly that wasn't in the actual movie/s, one of the directors mentioned he was about to throw himself off the cliff when Rey arrived. That was probably a retcon to explain why he was in his Jedi Master gear.

But he also couldn't bring himself to burn down the tree, judging by his reaction when Yoda actually did it.

I understand that you guys hate this movie. That's perfectly fine; and I get it. But shouldn't the complaints be about what actually happened in the movie?

For the record I don't hate it, I like it a lot. Sometimes my nitpicking might come off as hate. And as fanboys we can't help basing some of that on background material, not the movies themselves.

Man I was working st retail this yr and they are practically giving the new Star Wars character figures away lol.

Yeah, Star Wars figures are not selling like they used to. I think that is one big flaw these new movies have is that there are no interesting aliens or break out bad guys like Boba Fett. The heroes seem pretty cookie cutter too.

I was at a Wal-Mart a few weeks back and saw a row of 6-inch Black Series Finn figures (in the black box packaging) had literal dust, *dust*, on the tops of the boxes. I wondered if it was just because people didn't really peruse the toys at that Wal-Mart so I looked at the toys from that crappy Dwayne Johnson Rampage movie that were next to the SW figures and nope, none of them had sat long enough to collect dust.

I will admit, apart from light sabers, Star Wars toys have not interested me when I was young. It seems the same goes for my children. Both my boy and girl will absolutely want to get a light saber. The "official" ones are pretty crap though (telescopic plastic tubes) while some of the "bootleg" ones have better light-up features and sounds (though their handles are crap too).

They do but not like before. The new characters are just not appealing to children I guess. Hell even the PT that people hate had characters you had to get figure of

I think they were hoping that Phasma got the same attention as Fett did. She's a mysterious female badazz with a cool suit; it checks all the right boxes I think, but it just didn't win over the crowd.

Cause the character was handled poorly. She was thrown in a trash compactor off screen for comedy effect and beaten again in the new movie. Boba fett was a mysterious guy who had a bad *** presence about him

My local Walmarts are still stocked to the bone with loads of Rose and other Star Wars figures that nobody cares about, meanwhile they restock the Jurassic World stuff on an almost weekly basis because it flies off the shelves like hotcakes. :lol

True, she was handled poorly, but she had a better death than Fett.

Surprised how JP is doing so well. Dinosaurs will never seem to lose there charm with people. Weird how we don’t have more Dino movies but I bet it’s cause u can’t compete with the jp franchise

I remember the same exact thing happened with PT...

Those figures rotted on the shelf too..

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....
