I remember the same exact thing happened with PT...

Those figures rotted on the shelf too..

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

Nah I don’t recall that. I remember by episode 3 they released a teaser wave of figures so fans could get them early and it included general grevious and that sold well.

And 1985 OT POTF figures...

Yea that too, actually it happened after ROTJ also. The final toys sold very poorly...

I got the Imperial Shuttle on clearance along with many many figures about a year after ROTJ hit screens.....

The POTF tanked, even the coin figures did poorly.
Good for me cause I bought them and sold them a few years back for mucho dinero....

Yep, nobody wanted the Droids and Ewoks (cartoon series) figures either. Maybe this means that Rose Tico will go for big bucks one day since no one actually bought her, lol.

Trust me Rose Tico is virtually everywhere. She’s almost like the new Jar Jar.

Yep...movies are movies and toys are toys...I just read an article that was discussing how sales of Transformers The Last Knight figures were not only great but significantly higher than toys sales for the previous movie...most will agree however that that movie signaled the end of that franchise...my kids LOVE all of the Star Wars movies...but you can't put the toys inside their IPads so they want nothing to do with them.

I do see a lot of figure rot locally but very rarely Rose. I see more of the comically bearded 6” TLJ Poe, poncho Rey, Target ex 6” Luke, and lots and lots of Han SOLO. Target ex Molloch seems like a new contender. Lots of Kylo’s ship from TLJ on clearance.

You know I hated the new JW but I really love seeing the wide variety of dinos.

Thats my daughters last hold out....shes 13 and given up most toys. But she still collects JW and Schein Dinosuars...for display...

I think I might like the assortment of dinos in JW: Fallen Kingdom the most out of any of the films. I even liked the cheesy Indoraptor. Like you I came away from the theater pretty underwhelmed but have found it to be a pretty rewatchable background movie at home.

I can’t deny I do consider picking it up just for the beasties.

I still think the first half of Fallen Kingdom is straight-up abysmal because it was just pure noise and explosions accompanied by bad CGI ala Bayformers, but I've grown to love every Indoraptor moment in that film, and contrary to popular opinion I really liked the mansion setting because unlike the first half it was actually different from the other films in the franchise.

I even bought five of those Grab 'N Growl Indoraptor figures from Mattel because I'm always paranoid for the day they sell out and people want $400+ for them on FeeBay. :lol

The mansion stuff is just so zany and over the top that I can't help but be entertained. Some of it even gives Wilford Brimley riding away from an exploding barn in Hard Target a run for its money. Like Blue noticing the tanks that are about to explode and then running and leaping through the glass as the room blows out a huge fireball behind him. What is he John McClane the velociraptor, lol. It's utterly ridiculous but there's something endearing about watching a film that so unapologetically commits to it's own bit. They're all, "yep he's a superhero now and we are NOT playing it for laughs" BOOM, lol.

For me, once they get off the island it all goes downhill from there. The whole ai ting Dino’s and taking teeth was so stupid. The worse idea was releasing them into the wild. Do you know how much death and destruction that little girl caused?

Have you seen the Papo (i think that’s the brand)? Sort of like Scleich but much nicer IMO.

Actually I think shes moved into Rebor territory, they really make the best display figures....

Personally , I liked the Mansion scenes. It gave it a very gothic/Hammer horror feel and make the Indoraptor more of the Frankenstein like creations it was suppose to be.

I believe that was the angle, monster created , and monster has its creepy gothic grounds to stomp around.

I'm sorry, but did you just refer to Blue as a he??? Shame! Shame!

:lol
