Lol, I want to see that help each other one on a poster.

"Mom, you said the biggest problem in the universe is that no one helps each other." --Darth Vader

lol

I read this in JEJ voice.....with a big Vader breath afterward.

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

It always comes back to the same point: the PT had better (or at least more original) ideas with worse execution.

That said, TLJ showed us Force projection and the inner workings of bombers, so those were new.

PT story with ST writing and direction would have been the best of both worlds.

Oh, and some of the contemporary gags in the ST are worse than the Shakespearean dialogue of the PT.

The sequel trilogy does NOT have good writing. Again let me recommend Mauler's analysis on YouTube. You're welcome! :D

Yeah, I agree, the ST, but especially TLJ, is pretty badly written.
Looked up this "mauler" analysis, the man makes some good points, but I'm not sure I want to sit through 4 hours of someone dissecting a movie that I don't even like to begin with... :lol

Yeah, and then to be a good boy you’d have to watch all the positive analysis videos as well - and then you will find out that people on the internet have all sorts of opinions and then you’d be back at square one where you have to just trust yourself [emoji33]

And watch somebody praise a movie I don't even like? That makes even less sense! :lol

Actually when Anakin said that he wasn't yet Darth Vader he was a little boy. I can forgive silly dialogue that a child says because a child is saying it. Oh and by the way the sequel trilogy is like used food, it is complete and utter redundant crap! Mauler on YouTube gives a great explanation as to why that is.
Why was Anakin made an annoying little kid in the first place? Especially if they were essentially going to start fresh with his character in Episode 2?

But yea, the Mauler video is great.

Ani was shown as a precocious kid to underscore that anyone, no matter how pure of heart, could be corrupted by fear of loss. Obvious it was too big a leap for many (and I won’t defend Lucas’ apparent failure to pull it off).

They could have much more easily just showed him as a good teenager and not had to basically start him from fresh as a new character in episode 2.

May have been too similar to the OT. Also, having him taken from his mom at a young age (but old enough to have formed an attachment) was the first step towards his downfall.

This is the WTF that bothers you in the ST? No recognizable aliens?

Well, it's not a good start. They don't have to cram it full of recognisable species but there needs to be at least a sense it's the same universe. The ST generally has less world-building than the previous trilogies.

Surprised George Lucas missed a chance to have things "rhyme".

And this would be fine, except Anakin is never shown any hint that he misses his mom. After they leave Tatooine they never mention her. Even at the end of the movie when he probably could have gotten the money together to go and free her, he never does.

The crap sequel trilogy is absolutely AWFUL at world-building. Where the hell are all of the diversity of planets, ships and aliens?! Looks like in this ninth one coming up we're going to be getting yet another desert planet or jakku again. Wow!
