At first I thought Vader, then I was wondering if he meant the Emperor. Then I had to wonder who was more powerful out of the two.

Emperor only shot bolts at Luke. Luke witnessed Vader break and move objects right before his eyes..Has to be Vader.

So when Luke says he's only seen this power once before, he's talking about Yoda, right?

Trailer was okay. Not more or less excited than yesterday.

Or Vader? I wouldn't think he would have been afraid of Yoda's power but who knows .

Watched it again..that shot of Luke’s hand coming out of the rubble was creepy..Obviously it hints they tried to kill him but he survived..has to be a flashback

The last shot of Kylo reaching out his hand means nothing.. it could be a dream for all we know

I like the new Walkers

I thought he meant Kylo who killed all the new apprentices and almost killed him?
Or maybe it was Snoke himself?

You know you could be right, seemed TFA always showcased Kylo using Force movement

Or he really couldve been talking about Yoda. Luke witnessed how powerful he was after he saw Yoda, who he knre was very very old, use his force abilities to movie his xwing. I'm thinking maybe Luke is afraid of the resposibility of having to train someone strong like that because if he makes some kind of mistake it can go really wrong like it has in the past.

If only Luke witnessed ROTS Palapatine and saw how the old guy can spin, flip and attack with a saber or maybe Luke had a dream about it

Luke has to be talking about Vader. He said that kind of power didn't scare him enough then, but does now.

When Luke was going to confront Vader in Empire he told Yoda he was not afraid.

Oh I thought Yoda was just talking about himself. I forgot that he said this right after Luke couldnt successfully lift the xwing out of the water. So it's Vader, Kylo, or the emperor like others have said

Yup Luke thought he needed the force to lift something that big, but Yoda wanted to tell him is the Force is not just power it’s part of nature and life and surrounds everything around it.

A Jedi just channels the Force , they just need to believe in it. After Yoda lifted the X-wing...Luke said “I don’t believe it “ and then Yoda said “ That is why you fail “
