Mary Sue part duex.

Luke was referring to Kylos power in that he didn't do anything about it and it bit him and the galaxy on the ass.

That movie looks glorious so far. Rian Johnson seems to know his stuff! Can't wait!

I felt nothing watching this. It looks like just a movie. Star Wars doesn't feel special anymore.

Kind of the same, I expected to be wowed. The trailer just did not seem to have a Star Wars tone, wonder if I watched it with some past Star Wars scores playing if that would help.

They just need to bring in the T&A already.

George, get started on that Super Special ROTJ with naked Leia. It might outgross TFA.

It felt like Star Wars to me. Of course it's going to feel different because years have past after everything that has happened in ep. 6. I cant wait to watch it. [emoji3]

So, after the trailer, what I'm excited about is seeing what goes on with cynical Luke blaming himself for all that is wrong in the galaxy via Kylo and his falling out, and the journey for Rey figuring out her place in the world. They barely showed Finn and I could care less, Poe came off as nothing more than what we've already seen of him, and Kylo is coming off like a winy brat seeking Snoke's approval for everything. Only one new lead out of 4 characters is interesting to me, and that's pretty sad, but luckily the Luke and Rey journey seems big enough in the larger story to make me still intrigued and want to see this.

It doesn't feel like Star Wars.....its too much of a copy....cannot win with people.

Personally , I think the "doesn't feel like Star Wars crowd" has lost the magic of childhood feelings and the excitement of cinema. I know that feeling, had it during the PT....just never can capture the magic of my youth.....BUT my kids are freaking out about the trailer....

Happens as we grow up. Everything becomes a cynical farce. I am in a place in life where I am starting to let go of that cynicism, and find enjoyment in as much as I can. (Except Suicide Squad...that was just terrible) LOL

My guesses

Luke is referring to Kylo as the raw power
Snoke is a new bad guy related to someone we know maybe
Rey will have to make a choice to join him or not.
Kylo will save Rey from both the Jedi and Dark Side.

Kylo is going to sacrifice himself to show its the competing sides forcing youth to join one or the other that is the problem.....which is very appropriate in our current times.

I doubt Disney is trying no to show guns.....basically guns are boring. How many times can we watch storm troopers miss? Swords and hand to hand weapons also allow more characterization and emotion during a duel. Guns are impersonal.
