you understand me so well, it is delicious

I had blocked you previously thinking you were just an A-hole (which is probably still true :lol).......but I now see you have taken trolling to Jedi Master levels.

Saw this earlier, in Real 3D, and went shopping. Mr. Green give this movie a 10/10 awesome, win-win, movie. This is one of the best SW movie to date. Can't wait for the next episode. Negative peep will obviously won't like it.

The comedy is not so much to ruin it. There is no real religion to ruin it. There are only a few odd scene but nothing bad. Porge are so hyped. Not sure how one made a nest inside the Millenium Falcon so fast. The ice fox inside the rebel's base is another odd. It's like they're one with the force for no real reason - the bad guys not going after them. Luke drinking fresh milk from that alien seal creature is so gross.
Spoiler or whatever Mr. Green read before seeing this are so wrong.

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD

You know my biggest issue with this. They completely downplayed/ignored Luke's reaction to han's death. Shameful.

With that though also comes people reffering to those who have issues with the film "haters and vitriolic" when they could simply be venting about something theyre passionate about, lines on both sides

If I saw some semblance of valid and objective criticism (and there should be, the film isn't perfect) then I'd agree with you. Sadly I've seen little evidence of that.

And yet your hate for the haters is just as paradoxically prominent.

Hah! To suggest the disdain for the crying and moaning from Star Wars fans is anywhere close to being as prominent as their inability to look beyond their own wishful fan fiction is hilarious.

Oh believe me, I am fully aware that I don't have to be here. But for some strange reason I actually hoped I could pleasantly discuss a good film with fans who share my interest. Silly me. I guess I sometimes forget what fandom I am a part of and that I am on the internet.

To your point, ironically the same could be said for the so called fans. All this hate (I'm not generalizing negative critisism as hate, people are constantly using the word hate to describe their feelings in this film) and yet I promise you every single one of them will be back for the next film. And the one after that and so and so on. I guess we all share that in common. We love wallowing in misery.

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD

Not sure why everyone thinks Luke nearly killing his nephew was out of character. His dad turned to the dark side, and so does his nephew, so it's in his blood. Also, I think he's the only Jedi that force-chokes people (he force-chokes the Gammorean Guards in ROTJ). And he nearly turned to the dark side in the confrontation with the Emperor ("strike me down!"). I think it makes sense that for a moment at least, he almost turned by killing Kylo. My $0.02.

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD

I grew up with the OT, even liked the prequels, didn't get the vitriol against them but get why some didn't like them.

No problem with The Force Awakens and where it looked to be heading, but I just felt nothing special about TLJ after viewing.

Well he did play with Hans dice or keychain, whatever it was. I don't even remember those from any previous film. Must have been a deleted scene or I just missed it before.

I, for one, have never *hated* a SW movie. Watched them all multiple times at the theater. So that should tell you something has been done with this one that has upset many fans. It is getting *destroyed* in fan reviews.

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD

I saw ESB in the theater. I was born in 1977. I enjoy the OT, but they are not the final word. This is cheesy pop entertainment. Not high art. People take this way too seriously. I'm not trying to lump all the negativity toward TLJ as a monolith, but when people say that it's the worst movie they've ever seen, it's really hard to take them seriously. I somehow believe that they wanted to hate it before it ever came out.

I agree that I wouldn't say it was the worst thing I ever saw - I remember people coming out of the theater saying Rogue One wasn't a star wars movie and that it was awful, but they were pretty young which is why I wrote if off - TLJ had good stuff to it, but there were areas that really could have done more and cut back other parts - it seemed like they tried to push in 2 movies into this one which caused a lot of short cuts in character development and story - my personal feeling

You really don't understand middle ground at all do you?

What part of wanting Luke to have a satisfying lightsaber fight demands that he "jump around like a monkey"?

It would be nice to show Luke possessing some actual saber skills instead of wifflebatting.

He would have died in seconds within of that area battle in AOTC.

I think the fact that Luke looked hard to find good in Vader (already established as evil) is the conflict on how he handled Kylo

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD

He was on the cusp of also killing Vader in RotJ, before his mechanical hand reminded him of the path that would lead him down.
