Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

So Rian Johnson revealed which scenes were cut out from the 3 hour+ version and will appear on the blu ray, and apparently one of them was a very emotional training scene with Luke and Rey.

That would explain why a lot of people felt like her built up was really light on the training side of things.

I am not sure why they would remove something like that from the movie, especially since it's probably not longer than a couple of minutes and seems like a key point to satisfy expectations regarding the character.

One of the pre-se-prequel comics deals with lukes failed bar, the green Russian was a big hit until everyone in Ireland found out where the green/blue milk came from.
