Tarantino star wars movie, bring back mace windu! He fell a long way in geonosis, he was fine, why couldn't he do the same on coruscant?

So basically more of the same as PT and OT

Yeah i am so happy they didn't do any of the fan fiction rumors. That is what made this movie so great for me. Everything was unexpected, and I loved it. I thought it was pretty ballsy to do that. for 2 years the fans had already had in their mind how it was going to go and RJ was like NOPE, you are all wrong. And looking back at all those rumors, I like this outcome the best because it broke down what the Jedi and the Force is. It gave everything a bigger meaning to me than just waiting for the "savior" to arrive. We were all part of believing in the Skywalker name for 40 years, but the Force is bigger than just them. I think its great!! :)

Sooooooo if alot of the audience doesn't care for it will weekend #2 drop-off cause Disney to go into panic (ala WB) mode??

Yes. That's what I'm waiting for. Expect lots of pushback like with femme-Ghostbusters when the audience didn't respond. "Oooooh, the audience likes it, its the trolls that are fraud voting"

The hateful 8 ...jedis.

Mace windu, plo kloon, ki adi mundi, aayla secura, saesee tinn, eeth koth, agen kolar, and yaddle are out for vengeance, they are mad, and they are out to kick assterisks!

It's time for some womansplaining... listen up and maybe you'll learn something guys.

Toxic Masculinity is the true villain of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Let's talk about the competent women and the emotionally-challenged men of The Last Jedi.

In The Last Jedi, Poe is presented as a character who needs to stop with the mansplaining and learn from the more seasoned female leaders in his life.

The Last Jedi is filled with male characters on both sides of the dark/light divide who cause and endure suffering because of their inability to deal with their emotions in healthy ways.

Kylo Ren ... is scary because he reminds us of the real-world men whose anger and frustration and sadness have curdled into something ugly inside of them, causing them to lash out at those they perceive to have robbed them of what they deserve.

As it often does, the emotional labor necessary for both Luke and Kylo Ren to (at least partially) work through their issues is undertaken by a woman: Rey.

[Luke] understands that it's not about killing the past; it's about learning to face the emotions it stirs inside of you. I'd even go so far as to say building that emotional intelligence is the difference between the dark and the light.

So there you have it!! It's is all about the EQ!

Lightside = high EQ (women).

Dark side = low EQ (men)

The force is a balancing act between being male and female. The force is GENDER FLUID!!!!

It's already happening, they're blaming it on trolls and Russians(!) for some reason.

But yes that's what I'm looking forward to as well, it would be interesting to see a huge drop off in week 3 or so.

Hell at this point why not? Who directed that Gigli flick with Affleck and J-Lo, wonder if he/she is available?

Lmao hats off to you for really raising the bar, that's why this thread is so fun

So Rian Johnson revealed which scenes were cut out from the 3 hour+ version and will appear on the blu ray, and apparently one of them was a very emotional training scene with Luke and Rey.

That would explain why a lot of people felt like her built up was really light on the training side of things.

I am not sure why they would remove something like that from the movie, especially since it's probably not longer than a couple of minutes and seems like a key point to satisfy expectations regarding the character.
