this thread is already slowing down after opening weekend? i feel a great over reaction in the force.

:lol:lol:lol

Wait for holiday weekend numbers. Either there will be a cheer of victory from the disgruntled/p-o'd, or despair at the stupidity of people like me who will drop more $$$ on this garbage and have other people doing it too.:devil

But I gotta. I want to see it again, and there's the bonus of the IW trailer on a premium screen.:monkey3

IW trailer is a snoozfest. I'll be seeing it again for the 3rd time in a few days. :yess:

What if that whole line is just the way it's said - e.g. a fake-out in the sense someone would say it indifferently (without even "looking" in Kylo's case). Because Kylo seems to have a touch of a snob in him e.g. "You. A scavenger."

Like Rey's parents OBVIOUSLY must be some desert trash that died a while ago, since they haven't been around.

Tho if that's true IMO the director should have re-done the scene so the voice inflection carries that, and not sound like it's a statement of fact. Although, it was
said that whoever Rey was waiting for wasn't coming back. Tho personally I'm good with Rey being nobody, really.

Disney clearly is playing it safe, so that JJ can choose what to do with Rey in the next film, so Kylo may or may not be telling the truth about Rey's parents, but then there is also the broom boy, which seems to suggest that ANYONE can be Jedi. So either way, JJ can choose to make Rey someone important or keep her as Disney's new Cinderella, with her humble beginnings.

I almost wonder if JJ will bring back Snoke as well, wouldn't be the first villain in SW to survive being cut in half. plus that ring he wears, there's still a chance he knows how to "cheat death". that would be a really cool opening scene for 9.

yeah it did. :lol I love that shot.

Who knows though, maybe JJ will maybe he wont. He's got a lot of freedom coming into this one. Kinda of bummed that they aren't letting Johnson do 9.

His tongue looked pretty dead.

I loved his corpse. lol

The cgi on him was actually pretty near perfect especially the corpse part. I’ve handled enough dead people in my life to know that was pretty close.

I think for Snikt his corpse was a metaphor for the franchise lol.

Wor-Gar may be right the movie might actually be the first Hollywood movie to flop at 1.5 billion :lol

I can't believe that I'm having to defend the movie now (I hate it) but yeah, ANYONE can be a Jedi. That's how it's always been.
The Jedi Order was basically kidnapping kids from random planets, often from very poor people, tribes, etc...

Broom kid really isn't a major issue in this movie, although the scene itself was way too Disney and a bad conclusion to a bad film.

did you notice his left hand still chilling on the arm rest? I did on my last viewing, gnarles barkley for sure.

Yup, broom kid is for pulling the themes home, people freaking out about that don't know where to put their stock in. aka don't take financial advice from these people. :lol

I also really like the fact that Luke condemned the Jedi, they were a bunch of losers who were too focused on manipulating the force they couldn't even see their own downfall. It really puts an interesting twist on the PT, and will be cool to keep in mind if I ever revisit them. :lol

The CGI was truly amazing on Snoke. Loved it. Which makes his death even worse.

Such a cool scene, especially if you don't like Kylo Ren. The dude literally made Force lightning bounce off the floor into his dumb face.

I suggested it after my first viewing....everything is canon and I hear in the new video game Palps is a clone of sorts....why not the count

Kylo is the reason I enjoyed TFA so much, he and Han at least.

Maybe that's why a lot of OT fans do not like this one, it's Kylo's movie for the most part. He's the most interesting out of all these new characters, so naturally I really liked the time we got to spend with him. That whole throne room scene is probably one of my favorite moments in all of Star Wars. That, a long with lightspeed suicide, and that epic Luke scene/reveal on Crait.

Kennedy right now is reading the backlash and having the episode 9 script changed to include EVERYTHING everyone expected to happen in 8 lol

I bet Luke will even have a lightsaber battle as a ghost against the KOR. :lol

She’s probably like “Christ just give Snikt his ****ing vampire i’m tired of his damn emails every day.”
