Have you ever actually heard some of Hamill's ideas for Luke? I have an interview on VHS that he did in 1997 right after the SE's came out where he said that he begged George and Kasdan to have one side of his head shaved in ROTJ and a giant earring shaped like a claw to show how susceptible he was becoming to the Dark Side. :duh :lol.

Yeah, but in this case, he's talking about Luke quitting, letting his friends get killed while he's on an island doing nothing. He hates that in the Disney "official canon" Luke is no longer optimistic and hopeful. To Hamill, Luke was the most hopeful and selfish character in SW, and he doesn't like what they made him do in the last two movies. He had no choice. He even criticized Rey, Finn, and Poe basically rehashing Luke's attributes from the OT in a Q/A. He's clearly somewhat possessive over the character, but I don't blame him, it's been a part of his life for 40 years, and now he has to tell people and himself that TLJ is only a movie, to not get upset over it, when he's visibly unhappy about it.

It could be waaay worse tho. Let's be thankful that Felicity Jones wasn't in it.

:lol

I'm thankful she didn't expose herself to the trauma of being involved in TLJ.

It's not the kind of exposure she's used to.

I'm not a fan of the Transformers movie series...I'm not mad at it but in spite of growing up with the animated series and LOVING the animated movie the movies just don't work for me. Saw the first...thought it was bad...saw the second...thought it was terrible...so I stopped watching...I wonder how many of the self proclaimed Star Wars fans who hated TLJ actually like any Star Wars movie beyond Empire Strikes Back...same people who complain about Ewoks in general and Ewoks in particular "overthrowing the Empire." Same people who complain about...well...everything in the prequels...same people who complain about TFA "ripoff" of the first film with "bad characters." Some of them liked Rogue One...most did not...but then that is still only 3 out of 8 movies. Have some of the folks who are so shocked that people actually like TLJ considered that the reason that they did not is because maybe...shockingly...they are actually not into this thing called Star Wars...which is perfectly ok...I hate the Transformers movies myself.

Wasn’t he talking about JJ in that video? Has every director patted Mark?!

#metoo

I have no idea, but he's been very critical about both. I don't get it, you think Disney or Kennedy would stop him. Hamill is still holding back and doing his best to play ball and be a good employee, but it must be killing him because he can't help it, in every interview, he has to let some of it out. I've never seen that side of him. I wonder if that's why his film career outside of SW wasn't as big as Ford's?

I honestly dont trust cinemascore because they went to ask people for a rating the first weekend in theaters after the movie ended but who were the people in theaters that friday????

Who were the people waiting in line for hours in costume.....

If anything cinemascore is the most biased rating of all of them.

They just asked the hardcore fanboys for a rating....

I cant trust that

Yeah pretty much can’t really argue against that makes sense what you’re saying.

At the end of the day 99% of anything that involves money is easy to be corrupted one way or another.

OT + RO = classic

PT = an oddity spoiled by Jar Jar and rogering robots

ST = something completely unrelated to all of the above

I honestly don't believe for a second that he liked it. There's more to his alleged opinions of TLJ.

''There's something else behind all this your majesty. There's no logic to Khev's opinion of TLJ. He will infract you if you stay!''

did I get it right?

He’s become a very schticky Hollywood interviewee - he sometimes goes into stories and rambles well outside the questions with rehearsed or familiar “bits.”

I def believe he’s not happy. The best vid is the one where Kennedy is sitting there and has to jump in. :lol

But I’m not sure how much is real and how much has become one of his bits.

Once again - almost 2/3's of the TLJ audience - MALE and OVER 25. Average age of RO audience: 35 (opening weekend audience - 70% over 25.)

OLD "FANBOYS" are what powers Star Wars to the heights of the box office.

When will the media get this?

Alright, let's look at some of the logical contradictions within the film. Keep in mind, this is setting aside any subjective aesthetic concerns regarding pacing, dialogue, humor etc. We're solely dealing with structural problems within the narrative where there are incongruities that aren't accounted for.

Physical Laws break:

1. Force ghosts can effect the tangible universe. This creates numerous coherence problems throughout the entire franchise.
2. Ships can weaponize hyperspace. This not only makes previous tactical decisions throughout the franchise questionable, but raises serious questions about the functionality of hyperspace-travel.
3. Gravity and the vacuum of space was inconsistent. In a Star Wars movie. (ie. Bombs dropping, pilot on the platform)
4. Snoke could sense people on the other side of the galaxy, but not the light saber turned toward him on the arm of the chair he was sitting in.
5. Captain Phasma's armor is blaster proof... although you wouldn't know it at the end of The Force Awakens, when she was captured by Han... wielding a blaster...

Motivational consistency breaks:

1. Luke went off to find the Last Jedi temple, seeking solitude (he went there to die) while telling people exactly where he was going.
2. Luke refused to kill Vader who committed genocide, because he sensed good in him... but would consider killing his nephew because he sensed some evil in him.
3. Rose sacrifices herself to save Finn, preventing him from sacrificing himself in order to save... everyone else?
4. Luke felt responsible for sending Kylo on a dark path. So responsible, that he refused to train anymore Jedi... capable of stopping Kylo... who he sent on a dark path...

:goodpost:

This is most of it, but not all of it.

Everybody ( including grace) talks about how the cinemascore is the only score that reveals the truth or the only score that truly asked audiences......

But seriously think about who they asked.... who was there friday night, who reserved their tickets weeks ago..

I guess it’s not entirely wrong either because if CS asked Wor-Gar and JAWS what they thought they would’ve not given it an A.

That being said this is where the corrupt part comes in.

CS just as easily doesn’t use their negative score and simply jumps to the next positive score.

Disney monies yo.
