Interesting.. I have only talked to one person who really liked it.. Most either don't care for it or thought it was really disappointing.

I think the drop off this weekend might be a good tell on how people are feeling about this one..

One of my friends him and his wife are intense SW fans. They have their house decorated with all kinds of SW stuff, they have custom made Jedi outfits (and he has an awesome Maul outfit also) custom made lightsabers, go to all the SW celebrations, etc. They loved TLJ and last time i talked him a couple days ago they already watched it 3 times. If i had not been so busy with Christmas i would have probably watched that many times too.

It's a love it or hate film i guess.

Here is what is funny and ironic about feminists

They will defend and praise any kind of art even if it is absolutely garbage in every way.

They will literally praise someone painting a canvas with period blood.
They will praise a lady putting paint on her butt and letting it out on a canvas on the floor. No brush, no artistic merit. Doesnt even count as modern art.
This lady literally poops paint on a canvas in the floor naked and she is regarded as one of the greatest feminist artists of today. ( there are videos of this online)

Same goes for the defending of the ghostbusters remake.
These women gave that movie very high ratings to that movie just to support a feminist movie.
Thats the problem with the last jedi. Any critism is seen as anti woman. These ladies cannot accept any kind of negative aspects of the movie because it would be going against their own movement

Wait!! They defended the Ghostbuster remake?? :lol

I am sure there will be lots of excuses as to why this film has dropped so much.. But people were not so nice to BvS when it happened to that film.

People may be waiting to see it after Christmas but I really think that its just not going to get the repeat business from the fans like other SW films have..

Some may compare this to Empires Box office numbers.. But comparisons to Empire should stop... This film is no Empire.. Empire also left you hanging with its dark story and dark cliffhanger ending... In that way TFA was more like Empire then this film was.

Can’t even compare the movie-going dynamics from 40 years ago to today. The relevant comparisons are to the past 5-10 years and anyone reaching back to 1977-1980 to draw conclusions in terms of revenues and sales is a fraud, desperate or stupid... or all 3 LOL!

I have seen a couple hilarious typos with Rian Johnson's name.

Rain Johnson, which makes sense considering how he pissed all over Star Wars.
But my favorite... Ruin Johnson :lol

[h=1]Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Had Largest First to Second Weekend Box Office Dollar Drop in History[/h]
Like its predecessor Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is setting new box office records, but probably not the kind it would like.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to have the biggest week-to-week drop at the box office, based on total dollar amount, in box office history.

Please define these terms;

Agenda: what is the goal of the agenda.

SJW: what is the goal of this group of warriors. Who is the enemy and what does victory look like?

I really wanna know because these words are thrown around a lot and I cannot envision what is at stake in this “war” or who the principal combatants are.

Maybe in Episode 9 they will bring in a criminal mastermind but deformed midget super villain called "The Porguin".... who plans to use missile-laden Porgs to level Coruscant.

There's always those who love Suicide Squad or Crystal Skull or Jaws 3D.
Crystal Skull is a good parallel to this film in some ways. It was an enjoyable film for me. Misguided and cringe worthy in some ways, but I feel the reaction against it was much more extreme than it deserved, because it defied expectations. Work of art? Or even close to others in that franchise? No. But a fun movie overall. The reaction to the aliens was ridiculous to me, considering all the supernatural stuff in the other films.
