Man, looking over the offical forum, there are some whiney brats over there suggesting this and that and demanding the game have so and so stuff in it. Worse than the whine over toys here.

Welcome to MMO'S

/ignore them

:)

Yup, that's why I only play with groups of people that I know. Hopefully, by the time of release I'll have a gaming machine worthy of this game's time.

I am glad it's an MMO! Exploring the SW universe with people all over the world was great in SWG and expect Bioware to take it to the next level.

And hairless, they already said the games system requirements will not be too high, cause they want everyone to play without having to upgrade.

(most anticipated game in years for me. That new Coruscant trailer and music gets me so amped.)

Shropt - you are probably right there. I'm enjoying the Clone Wars series atm but would love something a bit more darker and adult orientated.

This MMORPG may fill a bit of a void for me ... (I hope .. lol)

The old republic Novel is also coming out in Jan.(that's why people are guessing the way they are, and apparently Sean Dahlberg may have let it slip so to speak) My guess is may.

And it's not beta it's just "game testing" as Bioware is calling it.
The Game originally had a target of 4th 2009, and Bioware has stated they had a "playable" game up and running for a while now. It's coming...soon, and i can't wait!

(2nd qtr latest, especially since they said they didn't wanna be back at E3 next year with it)

Its alright....I know Mac users are the stepchildren that are always last to get stuff. I keep my fingers crossed that they'll announce day one support for both Windows and Mac players.

Personally I always thought Macs played computer games better than PCs. I know my iMac plays games better than any PC I've ever had has. I know World of Warcraft works much better on my iMac than my PC.

I suppose it depends on what your custom PC is like.

I was really referring to pcs right out of the box vs a mac right out of the box. I've even had upgraded pcs that haven't performed as good as my iMac. You shouldn't have to drop an additional $1000 to get good game performance out of a computer. Most people who game on more than a computer don't drop that kind of money on upgrades for their pcs. I find it really ridiculous that you have to really.

So I want the game available for mac because i bet my pc, even though it is upgraded, can't handle it. Blizzard is smart and has dual compatibility. The rest of the planet needs to catch up.

Regardless I will play this on my iMac because I have windows on it anyway. I just hope they go the smart way and offer it for macs in the first place.

Me too. I was surprised when my brother got me Warcraft a couple years ago and it was a regular disc, not one of the special ones from the Apple store.
Yeah i wish all games were available for Pc's, Mac, Consoles etc, maybe 1 day.

Me too, but that's what BootCamp is for. I don't really miss playing games on the computer. The console machines are so advanced now that the 360 and PS3 are perfect for my gaming needs. PC games might have a slight advantage, but I don't need to constantly upgrade the machines to play the latest games.
~~ Of course every 3-5 years you have to drop the $$ to get the newest consoles, but its nowhere what I used to spend on the PCs I used to build.
