Can you customize your lightsaber in the game with yellow, purple, green, and blue crystals? Are you limited to having a single type the entire game, single/double blade? or can you switch to dual lightsabers as well?

Depends on which class you play. If you go one way, you gotta have single, the other dual or double. Yes, you can change the crystals.

You can take them apart and upgrade, downgrade, up your bum grade, change colours, on all and any ingame weps and lightsabers.

Classes branch but are pretty much stuck with sabers from what i can see. For example a sith juggernaut uses a single 1 handed lightsaber and a sith marauder uses a double ended lightsaber even though they are the same class but different branches of sith warrior.

I'd blame lucas on that front. Vader was essentially a sith juggernaut, 1 saber heavy armoured. While Maul was a sith marauder, dexterous with a double bladed saber and medium/light armour.

I'm downloading the new testing build right now. Can't wait to see what changes were made. Less than 3 mos to go! (then i will finally make my sith jug)

LOTRO is keeping me busy till then

Thanks for the answers. If I understand correctly, there are two classes of Jedi, Guardian - single blade and Consular - Double bladed. Which class gets the dual lightsabers?

I was on the fence about ordering this because I don't like this monthly fee nonsense but I do LOVE this period in Star Wars (KOTOR is my favorite SW game of all time). I went to order one from Amazon since I have Prime and it is sold out! Of course, it looks like other places have it in stock but I am being charged tax and shipping. Guess I have to bite the bullet for waiting so long.

For those that are just preordering now, or just recently, don't expect to play on launch day. BW is doing a "limited launch" so that servers are not a mess on launch day. Seeing as how this smashed preorder sales and there's a ____load of people gonna play on launch they're letting people in little by little.

The earlier you entered you PO code on the site the earlier you get to play. (the most you would have to wait if you are just po'ing at this point is a few days, but just a heads up)

I entered my PO code about 2 weeks ago. Getting the big Collector's Edition.

You might get to play on launch day. I entered mine in July.(day it went up) Enjoy the CE kinda wish i woulda got it.

Im EU and was 1 of the 1st to pre-order and get the 3 day early start ,so i think and hope i'll be fine.

We don't know if it's 3 day or longer at this point but it's a good guess. Might be longer with the amount of PO's though. (hopefully)

Was playing a little last night, nice changes. Can't wait to make my character FOR KEEPS!(also bought a razer naga just for this game, but it's coming in handy for LOTRO as well..Only games i play)

Tbh after such a long wait an extra day or 2 extra wouldn't kill me as ive been though several game start ups that were rough as anything.

so... wait... the only way to change lightsaber colors is if you preordered it?

No, in the game you can collect crystals and customize your lightsaber. There's actually customization options for pretty much every weapon (although I think in the latest build they made it so only certain weapons can be upgraded). You can even change the color of your blaster shots if you get something to replace it.

Im taking Artifice as my main crafting skill so i can rework my lightsaber and Archaeology so i can collect parts for it.

As for actually doing basic stuff like changing the crystals i dont know if you would need those skills for that.

You will need skills for all classes to seriously mod your weps, or you can get reward pvp, pve and player crafted ones.
