Re: Stranger Things (netflix show)

The show is fine...but it's one of those shows that has a really annoying fan base. they blow everything up into "ZOMG" town and...SHIPS! SHIPS EVERYWHERE!

Almost all shows have those annoying fan bases these days. :monkey4

Eh, I believe you don't have a problem with it. But said kissing was not unheard of, and though in lots of cases (at the time) some people might have been douches, I like to think maybe this was one of those times people weren't. I haven't finished season 2 yet so I can't comment on the villains but season 1 was fine to me. The real villains were the corporation types that put more importance on the company than in human lives.

This season actually had zero corporate villains even they were nice lol.

Everyone thought Bob was going to be the secret evil villain who got into Will’s family especially after his tale about standing up to fear is what got Will into trouble in the first place.

But nope the Duff brothers said he was always meant to just be a doofus lol.

Reiser was so wasted in this show.

:lol You're gonna come home one day to her watching power rangers with candles lit and freshly opened bottle of red wine.

me and my wife call him discount Zac Efron. We are very witty :lecture

OMG I can’t stop laughing you have no idea how much you, Evil, Khev and Clown crack me dafuq up.

That post is epic lol.

If I was gay I would pay her to be my fake wife

Just curious for the people who didn't like this show, what shows do you like? This and Game of Thrones are just about perfect shows to me.

I would agree that season 1 of ST is pretty much perfect. Obviously we're talking in subjectivity here. But it was a pretty complete package.

Season 2 though... has the lost sister episode which I think tarnished it a bit. I really didn't like that bit of world building. It felt like a waste, it diluted the story as well as the character of Eleven, and killed the momentum set up by the episode before it. On repeat viewings I will likely skip this episode. It just felt like it was going into Heroes territory...and it left a bad taste in my mouth. The one moment I liked about it was "I can save them" but I think that's because it was steeped in a sense of "finally, get your ass back to Hawkins, girl" :lol

I really hope Season 3 doesn't devolve into getting a team of special kids together to defeat the Mind Flayer...bleeeeegh

That episode was totally unnecessary. I read an article that thought that episode may have been testing the waters for a 008 spinoff, but there has been enough backlash that it's likely that wouldn't happen now. :lol

There's also a chance that 008 may come back to help 011 next season if she needs it since she barely had enough power to close the gate by herself.

Ugh spinoffs. I would likely avoid that completely.

If 008 comes back I hope the Mind Flayer uses his namesake and literally flays her mind. She can attempt to use her little hallucination power and he can just turn it back on her and pop her head. :yess: Then Eleven can go all rage mode again and do her thing.

Re: Stranger Things (netflix show)

So what exactly was going on with Max and Billy? They seemed to imply early on that one of them did something terrible and that's why they had to move, but I don't think it was ever explained.

I'm also assuming that reason might be why he hates her so much, but I really have no idea.

Repeat after me....In Di An A, not Bronx, Queens, Newark or Jersey City lol

Being from Indiana and still living in Indiana i sure don't appreciate the negativity you're throwing our way.

There's your problem, GoT isn't a perfect show by any stretch of the imagination, I love GoT, but it's not perfect, and this is one or 2 notches below GoT.

I also like this show, the only one who straight doesn't like it is Jye.

And Jye likes Bayformers.

Which is also respectable tbh.

Re: Stranger Things (netflix show)

I thought the second season was fantastic. It built from the first season and expanded the story. The acting is top notch too, especially the child actors.

Re: Stranger Things (netflix show)

Pretty sure the director told Winona Ryder to just yell at the other actors.

6 in and it's been good. not ZOMG! AMAZING! 80S! good but good.

And part 6 just completely rips off the sexual tension scene from Temple of Doom :lol
