Yup. Someone who gets kept up all night will get a free room. Someone who gets kicked out for causing that loss of revenue will pay for a room they don't get to sleep in. They're lucky they don't get charged the money the hotel loses, on top of that.

However, one New Year's Eve a few years ago, there was a Marriot in NYC that got sued for kicking out disruptive guests. Since everything in the area was sold out, there was nowhere for the inebriated guests to sleep. While driving around, they got in an accident and the court agreed that it was the fault of the hotel for depriving them of shelter.

Must have been an American court, :cuckoo:

Does anyone take responsibility for their own actions these days? Those not on drugs (prescribed or otherwise) notwithstanding?:cuckoo:

There's a lot more subtle - and tasteful - ways to get the point across than this girl did, if she was even trying to make a point. I'm kinda speechless.

Same kinda laws were made against bar tenders and gun companies. The products of failed parenting are forcing the country to make babysitter laws to account for the entitlement generation. :monkey1

Seems to me that they're more than happy to have a chance at redistributing culpability. Nobody's forcing them. They're seizing upon the chance to expand their own power. Anything to reinforce the idea that businesses are servants to their customers, employees, communities, regulators, and/or revenue collections agencies.

It's nothing new, but it has become something special since the dawn of big business, and it's grown exponentially with the size and influence of those businesses. The bigger you are, the more you are expected to give back. It does extend from a sense of false entitlement, but it's hardly limited to one generation. I can draw a straight line from tribal authoritarianism through Plato, Jesus, Augustine, Luther, Hitler, all the way to Obama. I bet I could roll Oriental despotism and the caliphates into it too.

It's the liberal self-entitlement mentality that you should have to share what you've worked hard for. Recently comments were made that small businesses owe their existence to our government, not the hard work of the owner and employees, but I can't recall when, if ever, my business has benefited from any government assistance.

People are dumb and want everything without working for it. That's why a certain person has a good chance of being elected again. Keep giving them handouts and they will take it and ignore everything else. That way you can slowly bleed them of their freedoms. Handouts the new American way. :flag

Since when do people have a right to not be offended?

Whether a person is offended or not is not the point. If I go to school, I want to be able to take advantage of that opportunity and not be distracted by attention seeking douches. Just like at a movie house. If some douche is surfing the internet on his smart phone I will have his ass removed pronto.

:lecture:lecture:lecture She was offended by people who were offended by her tacky shirt. It's hypocritical and tasteless.

It's like the kids in school who want to be "different". Yet there are lunch tables full of them all sitting together with their black lipstick and Crow makeup on. Talk about "different". More like attention seeking douches. :lol

And what exactly does her shirt represent? What type of society are we living in when a word on a shirt generates so much excitement and outrage.

It represents the desire for attention. We already live in a ****ty enough society. We don't need another attention whore snot to add another turd on the pile.

You must be the type of person who thinks it's okay to text during a movie.

Nah -- I'm old fashioned and just watch the movie I paid to see. I would be pissed at her if she was making a nuisance of herself in the theater, though.:lol

It's still just a word printed on a shirt and she should have the right to freedom of expression. What does it even really mean? We need to evolve mentally and go beyond it. People need to show more restraint and focus on more important things in life.

I would say people need to show more restraint when picking out any outfit similar to this one. If you want respect act like you have some for yourself.
