I had some hope this would turn out to be a decent series until I saw these pictures.... Wow what a bad casting choice, she looks like super dork with zero sex appeal. And I hate the costume, looks really cheap... like she bought it at Toy's R Us during Halloween. This show might make it one season before getting cancelled but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets axed after a few episodes.....


Would of preferred something like this...

I think not looking like a bimbo could end up being this portrayal's greatest strength. We shall see. Course it'd be for nothing if the show otherwise sucks.

She looks very girl next door, not super attractive nor ugly. Just kind of plain/average compared to the superhero, sexually idolized look

I think they were smart to cast her over a 'bimbo' because I could see girls getting into the show and relating to her.

While im not totally sold as Benoist as Supergirl, (I have a hard time seeing her as "girl-next-door" after that photo leak a few months ago) I do dig the costume. Its very modern-meets-classic. Has a retro feel to it but done in a new way.

But seriously, maybe 20- to 40-year-old dudes aren't the target audience. Maybe this casting decision was made with younger women in mind.

After fappening, I don't think younger girls are the target. This is a crime medical drama that happens to have a 14 year old looking girl who apparently will solve these crimes.


I honestly have little faith. While I am bummed of the choice of actress,which as a 22 year old; she doesn't look girl next door to me...but none the less if Supergirl came to the DCU, I hope they don't make the same CBS error.

What's the story line I mean with that costume it's seems rather cheesy. As is the case case with all these comic book based TV shows they lack the production value that movies do both in script and production.

Is this even tied some how to the movie I curious how they will explain her origin

Yeah, she was terrific as "Loving Girlfriend Who Must Be Pushed Away Lest She Get In The Hero's Way." But this reminds me of the backlash to Gadot's casting. They just don't look right to most Freaks' eyes.

Even if she's a good actress it won't matter if the show is ****. I'm trying not to get a Wonder Woman pilot vibe from this. Making it a crime procedural is interesting, though not really what I was expecting for the character. I can't wait to see the back of Superman's head at some point.

As for Benoist, I agree with haters. Too plain, no charisma, bad choice, and her fappening pics definitely categorize her in the **** and nothing else category for me... bad, bad choice...

Yeah, they even have people like Amell and Gustin saying they'd love to do it, but instead they have a pubescent Miller as Flash.....

Bad movie IMO plus characters are established so if they had a solo, it's all just getting a story and action. no origin needed.

I think that's rather unfair. The girl had sex and recorded it for her own later consumption, presumably never intending for it to be released publicly. She's not a '****' for doing that.
