Based on their roles in their movies, Witch King never really did anything but get chumped by a chick.

Vader by miles.

Everyone knows who Vader is. Maybe 1 out of 100 know who the WK is.

The Witch King got stabbed in the leg by a Hobbit and then killed by a girl :lol

This is such a no brainer it's not even generating conversation :monkey4

But Vader had to whoop someone's ass so it was the Witch King that got sacrificed.

The Witch King was a very interesting character but since we're going by the movies, Vader wins!! But I based my decision mostly on the OT, since Vader was portrayed as crybaby in the PT. :D

About Anakin being a crybaby, I think he was taught basicaly his whole life to not show anger. So when he was upset, his anger came out but he held back and it was more of a complaining than full blown anger or aggression.

Blame it on the Jedi then?! By ROTS they certainly were not being treated in a favorable light, I never thought I could despise Yoda; and not even a piggy-back ride from a Wookie could salvage his character. :monkey2

I voted for Vader.

Not really blaming anything on the Jedi, Anakin's decisions were still his decisions. He was full of the fear of loss and that fear made him angry. But his anger manifested itself differenty based on his training and showed up as a more subdued form of whining instead of a blow up like we saw at the end of ROTS.

But didn't you get the impression that we were supposed to really feel for Anakin, he certainly wasn't villified in ROTS. He kills younglings, his wife and is partly responsible for Mace's death (not to mention the Jedi Order) and he is somehow treated as this "wounded hero." I never quite got that, esp because it came at the expense of the Jedi. I thought Lucas would have revered them more.

The tradgedy was in watching him being seduced and ultimately enslaved by the dark side... I see it as a sort of brain washing by the dark side. The good Anakin was still in there it just took 25 years to come out again.

If this were true, redemption is acheivable.

Oh yeah. Especially the scene on Mustafar after he's killed the Seperatists. We are supposed to feel pity for this character, that's what makes it a tragedy. We can sympathize with doing anything to save someone we love.

If Lucas had showed the killing of the younglings (which would've been the coolest thing ever) it would've villified him even more to a point where we didn't really pity him, but hated him.

We can. I suppose that is why ROTS was so bitter sweet for me. I understand that Anakin could have choked Padme in a moment of rage, alright that is believable, but Padme just simply "losing the will to live?" Really? Wouldn't she have done anything for her yet unborn children, blah, probably better that Luke and Leia were adopted.

The ending was like something out of the ongoing Britney and K-Fed saga, not Star Wars.

I agree about that, not a fan of her dying becuase she lost the will to live. You'd think maybe her children would've been reason enough. Lucas could've just left it alone and we would've thought nothing of it rather than Anakin losing his temper in a fit of rage and lashing out at the one he loved.

Anakin killed her. I go to the bathroom while that dumb robot is talking about her losing the will to live.

Anakin killed her.

I can't wait for technology to get to a point where you can edit a movie on a DVD menu or something. Jar Jar who?
