Teh whoops...
:D
i really read it twice before i got what's wrong, so my shock was sincere ))

Most awesome photo shoot ever. I have to say, after owning this figure for a few years and the newness has worn off, it is the most accurate non-damaged Arnold sculpt from HT. There are the issues we've discussed many times, but no doubt that is Arnold's face there.

Somehow I don't think I ever caught this thread. Very cool stuff a-dev!

Awesome diorama a-dev! I think I've seen this in the back ground of a few of your pics before but I've never seen these pictures of the whole article.

Thanks guys.

Man, thank You. I know the feeling of never being fully content, always striving for better. But let me tell you, trust me, you don't need a re-shoot unless you get a Furlong. If not, this is perfect. Everything from the angles, range of focus and impeccable colors, you nailed it. Good job, brother.

I'll definitely check the other thread, too.

Thanks. I do have a Furlong but it has major difficulty standing on its own and would probably be a nightmare to photograph in conjunction with the other figures aswell.

Too kind sir. Did you ever see that photoshoot with the Enterbay BD T-800 and T-1000? Someone did the same kind of thing I did here, recreating the steel mill scenes with precision mimicry of exact poses from the film. Mine is a cool amateur job whereas this was a professionally done shoot. I'll upload and post the pics if you haven't seen them.

Yeah the DX10 has its problems but it also does a few things right that have been done wrong on Arnie sculpts ever since.

Very well done!!! How much movie frame by frame was utilized I only wonder. ...Excellent!

Holy **** dude! Those photos were god damn awesome the go through! That is one epic Diorama! The lighting is great! What kind of camera did you use? Basic digital camera , phone or legit camera? I would LOVE to build one or get one built for my NECA figures! Would be epic to take photos like these and then display the scene in my glass cabinet (Detolf)

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed. I'm no photographer, the lighting in the diorama did all the work. I couldn't even keep still enough for some of the pics and hadn't yet discovered the macro setting to focus better on the closeups. It was an old basic digital camera, still have that same one and it's in terrible condition now :lol

edit - by the way, also check this out. This one isn't mine (very much wish it was)

Wow that was a fantastic re-telling of the film with the figures! I truly wish I collected when these were released to be able to grab them. They seem like such complete packages, I know HT doesn't do re-issues; but how they went all out for their Terminator stuff makes me think there's little they can possibly improve upon to justify a 2.0 of any of them.

Thanks.

Most of them were pretty well packed out releases with exception of MMS238 Police Shootout T-800 which could have done with a full set of clean and damaged clothes and a bandaged forearm and hand. The other figures covered the parts of the movies they were representing very well whereas there was a lot of things you couldn't accurately portray with MMS238. It is commonly believed to be their half-assed Terminator figure.

If Hot Toys were inclined to facilitate people who weren't on the scene when all these figures initially came out I'd be game if there was some new sculpts in the equation. I think they could all do with updating.

Holy moley.

That feels like a shot for shot from the movie!

Well done

Thanks, yep that was the idea. Most of them were based on the actual movie shots. Looking back at it some of them seem to be surplus to requirements and I think I included them because DX10 was newish at the time and I thought they were decent pics of the sculpt that I didn't want to not use - but as far as telling the story they were unnecessary frames. There's also one during the elevator segment that now looks quite out of place to me and isn't even a good shot of the sculpt so I don't know why it's there.

Talking about this one

^Looks like I took that one outside of the elevator and I can't remember why I would have done that. Maybe to simulate a frame where the elevator lights had blinked off but it's too noticeable that it's no longer in the elevator. And I should have minimized the amount of shots showing that ugly neck joint.

a-dev, did you ever pick up the CGL "Resistance Fighter" (John Connor) figure? If so, you're gonna have to re-shoot most of the shots... :wink1:

I didn't end up buying that, no. Kinda lost interest in any of these third party figures unless they were able to match Hot Toys quality which they typically aren't. Obviously an official John Connor from Hot Toys I would buy. They wouldn't necessarily nail the likeness either but the overall quality would be superior. I heard the CGL is a bit of ragdoll.
