Depends, are you feeling like a nice guy or a prick? :)

Nice guy would send one back. The prick would keep it.

Either way, you gotta do what you feel is right. Personally I wouldn't feel good keeping them both. Depends, what is shipping? He can definitely pay for the shipping back. :)

well, here is what I know:
I bought this figure on ebay from someone in Hong Kong, and it was shipped to Belgium.
2-3days later, the mailman arrived with...the same figure....

My name was on the box, so it was clearly a mistake of the seller.
so I bought 1 figure and now I got 2 figures!

I also know (according to Belgian law) that who has the actuall posession of a item, is automaticaly seen as the rightful owner of the item. Unless of course the party who claimes to be the real owner, can actually prove he is the owner...

That brings me what I do not know for sure: has the seller got any prove to show that he is the owner of this item?
it is supposed to be sold to me, but I didn't ask for it...so there is no sell-prove, but maybe he still has a ownership-prove that he still ownes the figure?
or can he claim the figure based on other grounds?

so I am not sure what to do...

Maybe its a prick thing to do, but I'd say its yours now.

But he does have your payment information.

Belgian law might say that you're the owner, but morally I think you should return it (at the sellers expense). Careful man, karma can be a real biatch. If you keep this figure, you might not receive the next one....or the next five. :lecture

P.S. Obviously the extra figure was supposed to go to somebody else. It sure would suck for that person to miss out on this figure. Contact the seller.

I wouldn't feel comfortable keeping what's not mine.

Being honest and doing the right thing usually pays off in the end.

Contact the seller. Tell him about it and have him pay to ship it back.

Yep.... It's like finding a wallet with $150 bucks in it. Return it and feel good about yourself!

If you're having to justify whether you should keep it, it's pretty clear that you already know you shouldn't.

I beleive that Jase has put it dead on to you. I think its time you send the other figure back!! Do the right thing and contact the seller!!

Send it back, dude. The Dealer obviously messed up a Shipping Order and some guy who paid for 2 Taks may only get one. Which will prompt the dealer to research shipping records and see that you got 2 and paid for 1.

If you sell it, you will have to refund the dealer. Or worse yet, if the Dealer sells out, the original buyer will be S.O.L.

How would you like to be that guy?

BTW: I pulled out the accessory Tray without cutting it like our Brother freaks who showed us how.

All you need is a long knife. You have to separate the glued sides of the box cover at the bottom, get in there and sever the glue and tape from 2 sides and the bottom of the tray tabs, then you can pull the tray up and out.

Man, you really do give Belgians a bad name!:monkey4 The obvious thing to do is to give it back to the seller since he made a mistake. I really don't see why it's such difficult decision to make?:huh

Contact the seller. He will let you know what to do. It could rightfully belong to someone that also lives in Belgium, so it might be easier for the seller to have you ship it to the real owner. Don't do anything till you have payment for the shipping and make sure you have some sort of proof that you actually sent it. The worst thing now would be accused of not sending it back because it was lost in the mail. Ask at the post office when you get a shipping quote for this guy.

Keep it, return it, or tell us you returned it but still keep it, you're going to do whatever you want to do regardless of what we say. If you're looking for someone to help you rationalize keeping something you didn't purchase and don't deserve, in effect stealing from the seller, you're not going to find it here.

I work with a guy who once found a wallet a customer dropped and he took the money out of it but returned the empty wallet when the customer came back. He said he was "entitled" to do so because it was the guy's fault for being so careless with his wallet in the first place. :nono

Glad to be of help Eli! :D

And thanks for getting this thread back on topic. I see that there's a thread in the 'Other' section if anyone wants to comment about Riko's ill-gotten Tak Batman.
