I talcum powdered mime and it didn't help was gonna try using liquitex matte varnish to see if that would seal it.

Going to unbox mine tomorrow and check to see if the jacket collar is sticking. The matte varnish sounds like a good fix.

"Sorry, I can't make it this weekend, I'm too busy powdering my statues"

Lol, I love this hobby

Well after regaining my T2 PF, all that's needed is the endo maquette to complete my terminator shelf, will add a small besta shelf to extend the shelf to fit in the endo

What's the going rate for this piece? Just wondering what a fair price to pay is. Looking to buy one that had a broken wrist peg but glued back on. Cannot be seen though as the hand covers it.

OK so I picked this up today finally. Awesome piece and glad to finally have it in my collection. Has anyone found a permanent solution to the sticky jacket issue? This one had it slightly, but it wasn't too bad. I just want to make sure it doesn't get worse. For now I've packed away both heads and left him without a head until I find a permanent solution lol.

Congratulations, it's a nice statue for sure.

I used PH neutral masking tape from the art supply store.
It will always peel off (maybe not if you keep it on a very hot room)
I masked off the glove where it touches the jacket. It's all hidden when assembled. And I masked the inside of the jacket collar.
I stuck a piece to the jake lapel to show that it blends quite nicely. Same sheen and everything. That solved my problem.

Thanks Brian, that actually matches quite well. I just gotta find the same stuff in Australia lol, otherwise I'll just grab a roll from Amazon.

Its a shame Sideshow had to use such a poor quality material for the jacket, as it's actually a really nice statue. Probably the best Terminator statue available. Arnie's likeness is spot on.

Did yours end up removing any paint from the head?

I bought it from a member here and it left a sticky spot on one hand and some paint on the jacket collar.
I was able to clean it up. The person I bought it from told me it had the stick before I bought it.

The statue is tops. I sold my baby faced Hot Toys after getting this because this statue is my definitive T1 piece.

Makes me wonder if one day in the future there will be a market for statue soft goods like this jacket.
Like a restoration company for vintage statues. Or at least a run of this jacket.

That's good, as long as you didn't lose a chunk of paint off the headsculpt lol. I did look at one in person and a fair bit of the collar had bonded to the back of the head and also to the side of the face which removed a fair bit of paint off. Needed a repaint basically.

The one I got only stuck a little on the back of the neck and a small spot just under the jaw which isn't visible with the sculpt on the body (I only noticed it when I removed the head sculpt).

I would imagine replacing the clothes on a polystone statue would be quite difficult. If the jacket ever starts to deteriorate though, take it to a place that repairs leather lounges. Surely they'd be able to touch it up.

You're right about this being the definitive T1 piece. Its amazing. Even my girlfriend likes it, and she doesn't even like statues lol.

Now if only they could make a T2 piece that looks this good. Both efforts from Sideshow have been disappointing IMO.

Anyone else notice that Gail ann Hurd produces the terminator and the walking dead?
