Its weird to me with this PF, some pics he looks very dead on to Arnold and others with flash he looks like Josh Brolin...only way to truly get a good opinion is usually seeing it with your own eyes.

Exactly, the legs are pretty much perfect for T2 Arnie, it's just between the waist and the neck that just isn't quite right.

Well IF we can get inside the shirt I will do my best making him look like he should. Widen the waist a bit, broaden the shoulders (most important) and add bulk to both his shoulders and neck.

The one big positive is how high the t-shirt sits up on his neck, this should hide everything well. I will "take my wife" to Michaels to "see" if there is anything other than just cotton balls for this :D

I find with collectibles, even the best in hand likeness will not translate under any old photo, you have to light and frame and angle in ways that bring out that likeness, which is always what I aim for.

I'm not slamming or discouraging the standard on the shelf photos people share, I encourage that, but for folks wanting to really get a good idea of the likeness quality and other aspects of a piece, it takes care in the photo work to capture and convey that.

I reject many photos before I post here because I won't post things that are unflattering to the subject.

Hey question for you, do you think the t-shirt will be glued to the body or easy to lift up to add padding? This is very important for me to know. I would prefer to bulk up underneath the shirt rather than having the padding semi-exposed under the jacket.

Very important to know!

Virtually every PF I have ever had (Maul being an exception) hasn't had anything holding the clothes to the body.

Awesome then, so what would you use to add bulk to both the chest and shoulders? I would picturing something of a rubber/plastic oval shape to slide under the shirt for the chest and then maybe something as easy as cotton balls for the should and neck area.

Any ideas?

Going with the cotton ball method as well, since it seems to be more formidable.

I read this thread backwards after not seeing the pics for a couple of days. I sort of got hyped up again when I read about modifying the body to look beefier- more Arnold like... then I got to page one and saw the original pictures again. I am disappointed and not regretful for canceling. Hopefully it will look better once I see some more in hand photos though.

Yeah, that's a pretty "meh" likeness and the body sculpt is HORRIBLE.

Absolutely nothing like Arnold. :duh

When Solidsnake gets it he will make a Youtube video on it.
I think that will give the best indication on how good it looks

you are so right man.

I wish sideshow would send you a rush order so YOU can put some light on this subject.

once your pics are up people are going to be in SHOCK AND AW !

Where's yours on order from Dino?

I did have it on order from Forbidden Planet.com (That's where I get a lot of my stuff)
But I got hit by a load of bills and I had to cancel it, plus the Dutch HT.
That's why I can't believe people are putting it down as I would have loved to have owned one. Maybe sometime in the future, but I bet it will cost a lot more money.

That sounds a bit sucky Dino. I'm sure you won't have any problem getting hold of one later. Indy was popular and you can still get him. This has taken bashings so I'm sure there'll be plenty.

Looks like at least another 20 until the majority of us have our piece. :(

What has been the general concensus on which version people are buying? I just thought the EX with endo arm is kinda weak.. but even still I'm not sure if I'd regret not getting the EX.

I canceled him not because I don't like it but because of my finances I could only keep one and I chose Classic Iron Man Exclusive. That is a must for me but I can get a T-800 PF regular easily later when my financial situation changes. I can live without the endo arm......

Looking forward to see the photos though....
