I canceled him not because I don't like it but because of my finances I could only keep one and I chose Classic Iron Man Exclusive. That is a must for me but I can get a T-800 PF regular easily later when my financial situation changes. I can live without the endo arm......

Looking forward to see the photos though....

sorry to hear that. Yeah if worse comes to worse you don't need that endo arm. It's not that big of a deal.

I used the flexpay option, so I went with the Exclusive. I mean... why not ;)

So is there gonna be a new photo thread when there are more people who have it so that we don't have to sift through pages of worries and speculation? Just saying...:)

At this point of the movie shouldn't his left arm be the exposed endoskeleton arm? You can clearly see the flesh under his sleeve.

when I get him I will be doing the video review on 1080p HD since a good friend of the family is lending me hes HD cam till I get mine in a few months.

the new pics are looking even better and better.
I cant wait to get this piece in hand.

Well, the official SSC images don't have the arm being exposed, so the intent when the piece was planned was that you wouldn't see that. For the possible 1/8 of an inch or so that might ever be exposed, it's not worthwhile to sculpt the endo forearme on there.

If the PF was a look such that the arm was meant to be seen, they'd have done it, but the PF is meant to be seen without anything but his neck exposed for body parts, so there's no sense doing the sculpt and paint work on anything else. Standard practice to go minimalistic on pieces not to be shown. Yoda 1:1 bust has an arm but past the hand it's just a smooth tube of polystone because the shirt's meant to cover all but the hand.

We may have ideas as collectors for these pieces, but Sideshow makes them with a specific look and intent and doesn't do extra things just because some may like it there.

You know I was just thinking, considering some figures cost upto $300 these days what should make us think that for $300 we should be getting something that is 110% perfect in 1/4 scale?

Maybe some of us (myself included) expect too much from PF's these days. Maybe all they ever were, were glorified 1/4 figures.

Just a thought.

The fact its got flesh isn't a deal breaker for me. I will be buying this PF as it looks great overall.

When I first got into this hobby I always thought like that....
I guess since sideshow have spoilt us for years with awesome statues in all scales its hard not to expect the best.

I don't know what people expect, but I've come to see every collectible as having a certain intention for how it's displayed and made to suit that, and sometimes has points which can be seen as flaws or off because the owner is taking the piece beyond the intent of the maker.

Sideshow had an intention for how this piece would look, so they worked on all the details necessary to make the look. This didn't included seeing the left forearm, so there was no effort to make the correct because you're not meant to see it, even if some collectors want to, that's not what SSC intended.

Same for the new Hot Toys Joker, folks have some issues with things done on the Cop head because they hoped to use it for a makeup Joker head, well that's not what Hot Toys intended when they made the head and figure.

I think what's happening is more and more, fans/collectors are looking to take pieces beyond the factory intent, which is all good, but it is sometimes forgotten that pieces are made to be what they are and it's up to people if they want to take them to extra lengths or modifications etc.

Way too thin, even in the face and neck. Makes him look like Randy Travis. Too bad.

You kidding? These new pics make it look MUCH better. I don't know what people remember Arnold looking like in T2, but I'm looking at him right now and that's him.
