the T-800 just scanned him and instantly knew who he was, which I'm sure Pops would have been able to anticipate, being the same model and all.

This made me hostile as well. I smashed some theater seats when the POV HUD would pop up and T-800s could see through walls, inside other Terminator heads or even T-1000 pieces disguised as a simple door handle. These guys are overpowered as hell. I mean, that bit where the T-1000 takes a piece of himself and puts it in the head of the T-800's skull and reactivates it felt like some nonsense scenario that some little kid playing with Terminator action figures would create. They did crazy **** in the TV Sarah Connor Chronicles too. How about the 1984 chip being used for time travel? WTF? :lol Then that super strength Pops possesses that started with T3 is ridiculous. Remember in T2 when Uncle Bob and T-1000 were shoving each other in the steel mill and they pushed each other through 10 miles of machinery like it was a wax museum? I don't either!

In T1, Kyle could take a pipe and whack the T-800/ head around. Matt could lift the T-800s leg. In T2, John could help lift Uncle Bob to his feet. In a deleted scene, remember how fragile the chip was? One small ding and that little wafer would be destroyed and the T-800 would be wrecked. In, they rip that sucker out like it's a an indestructible Lego brick.

Biggest WTF moment was how Pops regrew his ****ing acid burned skin and cut up face. Those were severe wounds man! He lost his skin completely! How did he regrow that perfectly in 30 years!?! Remember in T1? He gets gangrene with rotten, fly ridden skin from the Police Shootout!

No, it's like Arnold says to her: Senorita, por favor, pick up that quarter on the floor, will you? A second later: Aye!

If the maid was Swedish, she would say: Oooof!

Language is Fundamental.

Language is important, but Arnie had game. At 4:00 he is teaching the girl English (that's right, Arnie teaching English) and then he mouth rapes her with a carrot :horror

Well, looks like I won't be seeing this masterpiece of entertainment. Not in its fine theatrical presentation anyway.

Looking forward to standard broadcast on TNT... 4:3.

Back to Shark Week.

Who's getting him, should be out in a few weeks

I really think it's one of those "gotta see for yourself" type-movies, there WG....people are having a grand time ripping it to shreds here (and some of that has been entertaining...)....but it's a good looking production that deserves a view on a big screen. Flaws? Sure...but still worth a view...

Been coasting over some entertainment biz sites...this is actually getting a pulse overseas as it flatlines here. Will it be enough to convince Paramount to keep their already announced sequel release schedule? Too early to tell...but tongues are already wagging about the studio possibly cutting Emilia Clarke loose from her three picture deal. Sad part about that is....while the movie has it's casting issues (yeah, I'm looking at you, Jai-guy!), I don't think she's one of them. Her chemistry with Arnold was good....non-existent with Jai-guy, but she carried the character okay...

Another interesting thing I noticed....no merch to speak of for this movie...just a digital version of the score, no tie-in books (novelization or making-of), no comics or graphic novels, no toys....just the one HT figure and some tacky looking T-Shirts online. Did the studio know something might be up with this in advance?

I didn't think the T-1000 resurrecting the T-800 was actually that "out there." No more than Uncle Bob just resurrecting himself after his dramatic blue lightning "death" in T2. According to T2 they just need an "alternate power source" and they're immediately good to go again. With regard to a T-1000, its power source, CPU, everything could literally be in every molecule of its body. If it too has "two power sources" all hidden within its liquid metal body then separating one of them as a glob and attaching it to a T-800 seemed like a pretty ingenious idea to me.

Yeah what's the deal Skydance? You made your PG-13 movie. So now where are the action figures, playsets, Lego tie-ins, etc? Robocop 2014 got freaking figures at Target and that had pretty much no star power.

And I thought Uncle Bob's battle damage already contradicted the "dead cat" deteriorating meat of the first Terminator so if Genisys says he can regrow it now why not.

You not familiar with Chronicle Collectibles then?
They're going to town with high end merch.
