While I like the movie, I have to say, the marketing was some of the worst ever, gave away the biggest spoiler, and I just realized looking back now, they put Skynet's humanoid form in promo shots?

I wonder if in years to come we'll discover this film's production was just as garbled as Terminator Salvation's and that initially Matt Smith's character was going to play a much larger part?

Finally had a chance to watch this tonight.

Its pretty entertaining, much better than the previous 2, but not a fan of the actors playing Kyle and John. :lol

So I finally got the blu ray and gave this a watch today. I was pleasantly surprised actually given the poor feedback it has received. It is far from perfect, but it was an enjoyable watch, easily the third best of the franchise. Arnie may be old, but he still convinces in the role and played the balance between cold machine and almost being emotionally attached to Conner well. It was only let down by some questionable CGI and physics etc that seem to break all laws of science to fit their particular scene, but that is Hollywood I guess and not unique to this movie at all. I would have liked to see more of the machine war if anything.

I am however still totally annoyed by the marketing of this movie which is the worst I have ever seen, they gave so much away it is unreal. I watched the movie thinking, I know what's about to happen and it left little else to surprise, it removed a heck of a lot of the enjoyment and any suspense. Mind boggling really...

See I told you guys it was good- ! Really... try it- all the hate is misguided- T3 WAS the worst

I watched it again this past weekend and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Gonna have to re-watch Terminator 1-3 now to see where it officially ranks for me.

This movie is flawed by any measure, not just against the franchise, in fact, there are cinematic flaws and Terminator franchise flaws, but, for me, the enjoyable parts were good enough and outnumbered the bad enough that I enjoy watching this movie repeatedly, in fact I like the good aspects enough that I'm more likely to choose this over T3 for a repeat viewing, or T4, though I like T4 more overall, this has Arnold in a respectable performance again which edges it out over T3 and T4.

Really LIKE Terminator Salvation..and not apologetic about it!

Salvation is a really good movie, but I still wish Arnie was more than a mute CGI appearance, it's just not the same without him, but no Arnie is better than T3 Arnie :lol Bale is my favorite Connor and I though Marcus Wright was a really good character in his own right. I wish it was more Cameron's future and not so general post-apocalypse, but since it was a sequel to 3 which reset the whole Universe, it makes sense.
