I don't think mine is coming today. UPS still says that it's on its way from CA with no new scans. Yet it still says that it's on time for delivery on 12/3. Sure, I'll believe that never.

Should've known better than to believe that it could get from CA to NJ in just 4 days.

Thankfully mine has none of the problems others have reported. Light-up button is a little tricky though, took me several tries to get it to turn off. I did find a small chip on one of Lady Death's heads, will have to get that replaced.

There's no paint on the actual pin or the slot the pin goes in, so nothing to sand, are you referring to something else?

Nope. That's pretty much it. The member on SF mentioned that his didn't work at all until he removed a small amount of paint that was blocking the connection. So, your iffy lights issue seems like something other than that.

I sanded the pin down regardless and it kinda works now, still flickers. So there must have been some overspray on the metal I could not see. Regardless I still think the light up is disappointing, but again, I didn't buy it BECAUSE of the light up so I'm still fairly happy.

Finally decided to cancel the reg from my local dealer when I realised the EX was available from still available from last night's news letter. It'll cost me a pretty penny in shipping and customs, but I don't see how displaying the reg head makes any sense at all.

Good attitude. I reckon you could always seek a replacement if you were so inclined. Of course the replacement could always be worse. I know that from ancient experience with the Magneto comiquette. Oy!

UPS just dropped mine off....broken shield, white residue on battery compartment, and IG does not light up even after cleaning, removing plastic tab, and swapping batteries. Sigh....
