On a side note I've been trying to avoid most of the Spider Man crap like the plague to dodge any spoilers, but does he really have yellow eyes? I know Medicom is making him Jaundice eyed and I thought that was just another of their whopper mistakes, but I notice stores are now carrying yellow eyed Spider Man masks and toys. Is there like a poster release of the sun reflecting and companies just running with the bogus image or is he yellow eyed in his new suit?

Good good. Actually mary jane is strong aswell its just in the raimi version they made her character so annoying. hopefully in this franchise she becomes the wild party girl like in the comics.

Sony teamed up with Wal-Mart to sell people the above clip - 3 bucks, and the DVD came with behind the scenes footage, a video game trailer, and reprint of_Amazing Spider-Man_#6, first appearance of The Lizard. The clip is known as the 'Carjacker' clip, but I don't know why as he's not carjacking. Carjacking requires you to forcibly take a vehicle from somebody. He's just stealing the car.

Eage-eyed observers will note that Spider-Man behaves like a total ____ in this scene. Like, a raging _______. While this seems like an ill-advised collision of Spidey's light-hearted antics and Batman's gritty urban vigilantism, I understand that this is actually very, very early in Spidey's career and that part of the point of the movie is him learning to not be such a horrible ____ing _______. At least I hope that's the case.

By the way, for those keeping score:_The Amazing Spider-Man_screened in New York last week. There were a handful who liked it (mostly people you never heard of, to be frank), a few who felt it was forgettable and unnecessary, and some who hated it. The biggest Spider-Man fan I know found it to be a travesty. But most important: all of the changed origin stuff is gone. The bits about Peter's dad manipulating his genetic code is out, meaning there now is NO "Untold Story."

I hope ASM is as good as you say, and you're not just 'riding the high' of just seeing the movie....like the time I walked out of ID4 (as a teenager) proclaiming "It was better than Star Wars!"

good to hear some positive early reviews. thanks to those who posted them.

spidey has always been my favourite marvel superhero from the time i was a toddler. so he means a lot to me, as does a good cinematic rendition of him. fingers crossed.

It isn’t perfect but this reboot’s wins outweigh its wobbles. The leads charm, the action crackles and the grooves are well-laid for part two. Untold story? Next time, then.
