Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

This is the best super hero scene so far:
Spidey wrapping Lizard in the high school and crawling around him.

I got goosebumps watching that scene.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

This was the one scene I kind of had problems with just from a logic perspective:
It's an inspiring scene and all, but the helicopter is RIGHT THERE! The cops and everyone are on his side now - why not just give him a ride in the copter?

That was really weird. I had no idea what I was looking at. It was there and gone so fast.

I guess the same reason that Batman doesn't call a taxi to cross town. That's superheroes for you.

The cops have never really officially supported SM. it would be endorsing a vigilante in some circles.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I guess i needed to be taken out at that point. I really cracked up at that scene. :lol

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

It was the opposite for me. I'm well past the point of enjoying his cameos. Now, they just take me out of the movie.

Same here.

So excited to hear who the next baddie will be. Their choice here will determine a lot IMO.

i agree. send the old man his cheques and not the casting call... he has long ago served his purpose.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Saw it Tuesday and loved it. There's a lot more old school Spider-Man flair with this film as compared to the Raimi versions. Garfield was far more likable as PP, and nowhere near as whiney as Toby.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

What they did well was let the kid have fun being Spider Man but then bring him straight back down to earth (best way for teenages to learn) with an emotional bang.
