What did Webb change? There was no "untold story.":dunno

Technically the story of his parents was never told, not only that but Richard didn't work for Oscorp on film. In reality the "Untold Story" part was cut out, producers admit that removing it after the fact left strange "holes" in the story, and moved to the sequel to not bog down the origins. Just like TDRK is going to do some retroactive changes to the origins of it's own film, the next film will do the same if they stick to it.

lol yeah I was wondering that too. Left that Indian dude chillin for sure.

Because he stopped the car from falling into the river, aaaaaaand he left the other people safe so the fire brigade and police would get them. He saved em lol.

And the guy clearly wasnt going to prison, just removed from the building. thats all.

He is super. He is no hero. Now you see. But this is not Spider-Man. This is Spider-Twilight. They can't be together. But they still love each other. Maybe he will bite her and turn her into a Spider-Gwen. This is NOT a superhero movie. At least I hope it is not.

Sniff sniff I smell a stinky troll.

No JJ, No MJ, introduced parents with possible links to future stories and introduced Gwen Stacy. Mechanical web shooters, more cocky Spider-man etc, significant enough changes.

Why did you have to choose? They were three weeks apart. If your stuck sent me your PayPal email and I'll send you the price of admission. That way when you have at least seen the movie you wont come across all ignorant.

Then
So you didn't say Spider-Man wasn't a franchise? :lol

Not yet. Caught the 25min preview (which judging by those who aren't completely gay for the character) gave me enough of a taste to know that since I had to choose between ASM and TDKR, the choice was TDKR. :lol So I did what I usually do and sent a couple friends to see it a second time to support it and will be picking it up in Fall on BR (or potentially catching a double feature tomorrow if TDKR disappoints - which it looks like it might :lol).

Then

It's called having kids. :wink1: I'm not the type of irresponsible parent who ditches their kids with someone else every week because there's a cool movie out. As far as ignorant, your little buddy Wez is the posterchild. :wink1:

Ignorance is talking about something you know little about or about something you haven't seen. You shouldn't take it as a slight against your personality it's just fact. You've admitted you haven't seen the movie.

It's a shame too. The intentions were there, but ultimately, they held back. I'll be curious if they continue with their original plan or go a different route. From the details I've read about Sony's Richard Parker, I hope they tell more of his story in the second installment. It'll be well worth it, IMO.

Do most of the people who like this movie hate the character of Spider-Man?

This was terrible. What was up with the music? Piano banging horror chords when the handicap-drug-using-doctor-CGI-Gone-Bad thing was looking Gwen was crazy. That was not close to representing the Lizard from the comics. It looked liked the bad guys from that equally awful Mario Bros. movie.

Peter Parker is a nerd. Spider-Man is cool. Peter Parker also does not get girls so easily. Gwen is hot. Girls like Gwen date football-playing-bully-types, not the yearbook photographer. The police captain's daughter is looking for a rebel, not a kid that gets beat up. Doesn't he work for a newspaper? Can he at least work for the friggin school paper? The yearbook does not lead to journalism.

How convenient that his name was on the back of the camera. How lazy are these writers? What nonsense.

I cannot get over the praise you supposedly comic-lovers have put on this film. You are probably the same people who love Superman Returns. I hope everyone involved in this film has the same luck as the crew who made Poltergeist or the cast of Different Strokes. What a load of crap!

End rant! But I'm still mad this got made. This better be the one and only. This sucks so bad.

End rant now!

But seriously. This was just plain bad.

:slap Celtic that you?
