Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I'd like a proper poster/cover art done by Drew Struzan or someone of his caliber. The marketing for this film (outside the trailers) has been lackluster.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Speaking of the cover for home release....

If Paramount does it, the cover art will most likely be the entire team, superimposed on a scene with Loki in the background.

If Criterion does it, all black cover with The Avengers logo on the cover.

I'm just glad the studio doing this movie is not Disney. I'd hate to sit through 20 movie trailers before getting to the main menu. :thud:

Interesting. It seems that this comic will prove Black Widow's worth as a member of the team...something that people have been doubting.

Speaking of Avengers tie-in comics, has anyone been reading the "Fury's Big Week" series? It supposedly takes place during the week that Tony is dying from palladium poisoning, Hulk has the fight in Harlem, etc...It's pretty cool so far and the first issue is free on the Marvel iPad app.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I was just thinking...when they were filming what is believed to be the final battle in the streets of "NY" (filmed in Cleveland mostly), there were pics of people carrying the Mark VI armor around...

could lend to the idea that Stark comes in the Mark VI while the "Mark VII" is a different "pilot" since the Avengers only want Stark as a consultant...

thoughts?

I don't think so man, in the group shot and when he is flying up towards the portal or whatever it is he's wearing the Mark VII armor and they wouldn't have anybody else apart form Stark in those parts.

I think he will wear the Mark VI armor for most of the film though until he needs new armor for the final battle because in the first trailer when he flies out from the water wearing the Mark VI it looks pretty badly damaged.

As for the people carrying around the mark VI armour on the set, they could of been filming another scene or something, I don't know.

I'd hit it

I'd hit that too :drool

Now more ass shots :lecture

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

well to play devils advocate...the new Mark VII is more similar to War Machine armor and Stark doesnt wear that one (at least in the films)

The VII could be more or a weapons platform Stark made instead of his newest version of his armor...

I dont necessarily think any of this is the way it will be...just discussing the possibility of it...

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I really does. That's why I bought the toys for it lol. They held back the tide for about 5 minutes at which point I began craving more! I think I might even get the MS figure...at least Hulk...

This movie is going to bankrupt me...I hate to think what will happen in 4 years when Avengers 3 comes out...

I'll homeless but with a huge box full of Avengers toys, blu rays, posters, etc lol
