Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Sadly the 'alot of me' from Joss is the good stuff. I'm not happy to hear all that is cut. He's being a trooper about it, but I am sure he isn't super happy. Why have him direct it if his stuff is hardly in it. :lol

I would have sat through 3 hours of Avengers.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

The exclusive first look campaign that they're doing with the cities that bought midnight tickets.

I was excited Salt Lake City was included but being that it was probably the smallest market on the list of cities there was no way it was going to be one of the showings to get a poster.
The IMAX here doesnt use Fandango in favor of its own site so you can pick your seats when you buy the tickets. Right now the midnight show is half full.

Wow those posters are awesome!

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I dig the Black Widow image behind Thor, I wouldn't mind a poster of just her in that pose.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Unfortunately, Whedon said that a three-hour director's cut was not in the cards for The Avengers Blu-ray or DVD releases.

It'll happen. They'll do normal releases at first with extras and then after a bit they'll put out an extended Director's cut.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Caps Helmet looks good there...Obviously it's had the crap photoshopped out of it.

Thought Iron Man had webbed hands for a sec :lol

Bad Ass posters, finally! :rock

I'd be happy iif HT's Cap figure had that look.

You and me both :exactly:

I hope you're right Mike, it might happen because of the size of this movie.

Marvel is not really known for Directors/Extended cut releases.

I think we can count in one hand the movies that have received that treatment, 5 of them to be exact:

Daredevil
Elektra
Spiderman 2.1
Fantastic Four 1
Punisher (Thomas Jane version)

That's it.

There are 18 movies that had deleted scenes that were not incorporated back into the movies, which were:

Cap
Thor
IM1
IM2
TIH
Ang Lee Hulk
Blade 1
Blade 2
Blade 3
Fantastic Four 2
Xmen 1
Xmen 2
Xmen 3
Punisher Warzone
Wolverine Origins
Spiderman 1
Spiderman 3
Ghost Rider 1

Here's hoping you're right and Avengers makes it 6. :duff:
