Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Spartan apparently you're one of those lame old school fanboys who think the movies should represent the characters in the comic book. Thats just not possible. If it were those characters would have endured for decades.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I mean, Thor can't possibly be as powerful as he was in comics. He killed the Sentry and teleported all of Asgard...of course they are going to weaken him for the movie.

Well, the hammer strike that destroyed a ton of the Frost Giants home on Thor showed he's still extremely powerful.....or at least his hammer is :dunno.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I just bought my midnight IMAX showing tickets online for the Avengers.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

They did something similar for Harry Potter, I'm not really that surprised.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I won't participate.

Imagine if you sat there for the marathon only to find out that Avengers sucked. :thud:

What a horrible ending that would be, talk about anticlimatic.

:lol that would be terrible

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Depending on how The Avengers began, I would mind seeing Captain America and then leading right into this, but seeing all the Marvel movies especially in the order they were designed to go will leave more questions than answers I think on a new crowd that hasn't been chronicling this. They do though get to see Edward Norton change magically into Mark Ruffalo so there is that.

I've already excepted the fact that if Avengers sucks that I will be throwing into the garbage my blurays of IM1, IM2, TIH, Thor and Cap!

I know it makes no sense to do that because Avengers sucking should have no impact on the quality of the other movies, but the pay off is that important for me.

Marvel has got alot riding on this movie, my dvd collection is riding on their shoulders :lol

*would still order the HT Hulk though :lol

Really? those movies are good on their own merit... except for IM2. I sold that one off myself after seeing it again and was like "Yeah, i'm probably never going to watch this again" :lol

You already gave them your money for them though so I doubt they'd care if you threw away or burned your movies. :lol
