Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

If you expect to ever get laid again, scalp the tickets. :lecture:lecture:lecture

Tix are photo ID only!!
cannot be scalped...and there is also signing confidential statements etc etc.

As it is my only child AND her first Birthday party...well...this is one of those times where i must choose her again.:monkey3
I did this for Celebration 5 where i had bought tix, plane tix and was ready for Accomodation payment and then my wife fell pregnant. So i cancelled the lot and luckily got all monies back.:slap:slap
As the party is on at 11am and the premiere is on at 12pm,there is no way i can leave my guests who have travelled from interstate.
It really is a bittersweet day...but what can ya do??:panic::panic::

i DO wanna get laid again :yess::yess:

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

That's why I said "planned" instead of "No Hulk sequel never ever never"

I know. I'm glad he isn't closing the door. They're finally realizing that people want to see a movie where Hulk smashes ____, not a soapy Banner movie.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

What, i'm going to go see it a minimum of 5 times, same for TDKR. :lol

I'm gonna see it just twice most likely with 3 being an option. TDKR will be just once for sure and same for spidey. Now, The Hobbit is where I will see so,etching at least 5 times.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I never see movies at the theater more than once. I don't see the point in paying way more than the Blu-Ray will cost when it comes out when I can watch it as often as I like.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Some movies are just worth seeing more than once.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

It is silly seeing a movie multiple times in a theater when that money can just go to the $25.00 bluray 4-6 months down the road.

But seeing that I can't guarantee that I will still be alive 4-6 months down the road to own the blurays, i'm getting my fix in now! :lol

"Want to live forever Conam?" :lol

Sea wut eye did dear. :panic:

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I wish to be put into a medically induced coma and woken up May 4th....

I'm with you on that one.

Can't wait for Thor 2! He's becoming my favorite character from the group.

Yep, me too. Besides BW. His movie was my favorite by far, and I enjoy Hemsworth in the role.

I am very excited for Thor 2. The first one was so good. It's one of my all time favorite movies.

Me too!

I sajd jt before but this will be the best and ultimate comic book movie, and marvel/disney should let whedon do the avengers as a trilogy the man is a genius when it comes to group dynamics and he is a fanboy at the end of the day

Exactly. Joss was definitely the man for the job. I have a feeling that for characters you didn't care much for before, or even hated, you are going to now LOVE, and find you have emotional connections with them. Damn you Joss...I love you for that.

We bought our midnight screening tickets, and we also grabbed the tickets from Senitype. So we have tickets for 2 showings already. A third is going to be a guarantee. I see a point in going more than once if you really love the film. Because it takes too long to release on bluray and who can wait that long to continue viewing large heeps of epicness? Not me, that's for sure.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Before i go see avengers in 3D im going to buy a pair of hulk hands and bring them to the movies. I'll use hulk hands to hold popcorn and to eat popcorn i will just have to use my face lol

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I think as long as this does well, Joss will be granted the series. I mean Favreau was given Iron man after its success, but then blew it with behind the scenes issues. But if a movie does well, I think the studio is more than willing to keep the same group of people responsible for it. After TDK Nolan could do whatever he wanted to with Batman at that point. If this does well, Joss will likely have similar freedom to do with what he wants.

I really believe Marvel is finally happy to have found their Banner as well, like they did with the others.

I'm curious to why Branagh left though since Thor was a success.

Thor 2 starts filming in 4 months and Hemsworth said he's very happy with the direction the new director is going with it, more natural norse mythology and less science.

From Hemsworth regarding Thor 2:

I have read a script and we start shooting in August. I met with [director] Alan Taylor a couple of months ago and Natalie Portman and I and Alan and a couple of Marvel guys and it was hugely exciting. Ken [Branagh] did such a wonderful job and, with scheduling or what have you, he didn't end up doing this one, but I'm a big fan of the Game of Thrones series, which is Alan's latest work, and I think that is what's exciting about the second one: making it sort of more tangible and having a more organic feel to Asgard and that world. I think the science fiction element to Thor… the danger is it falls a little bit into the world of it's 'tough to throw a light to.' I think of big waterfalls and mountains and a Viking influence, where the Norse mythology kind of grew from. Having that in Asgard is going to make it all the more special and that's what Alan wants to bring to it. I think that would be the new aspect to this one."

I'll probably see it in 2D first to enjoy it purely as a movie with no distractions, then again in 3D just for the hell of it:D

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

:(

Joss Whedon, writer-director of Marvel's The Avengers, told The New York Times about the best scene he wrote and then cut from the script, one that featured Steve Rogers reuniting with his flame from Captain America: The First Avenger.
"One of the best scenes that I wrote was the beautiful and poignant scene between Steve and Peggy [Carter] that takes place in the present. And I was the one who was like, Guys, we need to lose this. It was killing the rhythm of the thing. And we did have a lot of Cap, because he really was the in for me," said Whedon.
He continued, "I really do feel a sense of loss about what's happening in our culture, loss of the idea of community, loss of health care and welfare and all sorts of things. I was spending a lot of time having him say it, and then I cut that."
For those who may not recall, Chris Evans' Cap was supposed to meet Hayley Atwell's Peggy for a date, but he never made it, ending up in suspended animation for nearly 70 years instead.

Would have been the perfect cameo slot for Stan Lee in drag:lol

:lo Yeah right. The role of Hulk/Banner is cursed I think. Nobody has been able to keep it more than 1 movie. I hope they can finally selt on one someday though. I'm waiting to see the movie before deciding if Ruff is right for it or not.

Any word if a new Hulk movie is coming though? Would that be IH 2 or Hulk 3 or what? :rotfl
