So what purpose did it serve for Stark to go see General Ross at the end of TIH?

Wasn't that a lead-in to Captain America? :dunno

Also, Loki was already on earth as seen at end of Thor so why the need for a big cube energy entrance in Avengers?

Couldn't he had just teleported into a broom closet somewhere on the base. :dunno

Was he really on earth? Or just possessing Selvig?

See, Nolan didn't leave behind loose strings in his Batman films.

:chase

You're right. With things like Batman's "rule" despite Wayne's wholesale slaughter of the LoS, the highrise free fall, the Tumbler roofing, etc., Nolan didn't even bother to tie his shoes. :lol

Though I will concede all the Chitauri suddenly dying when the portal was closed was a bit of a headscratcher. :lol

Think they died cuz the nuke took out the mother ship

The only thing on my mind right now is whether the 30 minutes of deleted scenes will come as extras or as a full on 3 hour long directors cut edition. None of the articles discussing this seem to know for sure which one is. Personally I hope they make a 3 hour long film, It would be a pleasure to sit through that in the comfort of my home.

It was already stated in an interview with Whedon that the 30 minutes of deleted scenes will be extras and won't be inserted into the movie. He also said the version of the movie in theaters is the "directors cut".

He did say that he was really bummed for having to cut the Peggy scene and that an earlier script had a much larger focus on Cap.

Everything originally was going to be from Cap's perspective :horror

I likes what I got now, leave it alone.

Well, at least with the narrative, but i'll gladly take more action. (as if there wasn't enough :lol)

That was already explained. Watch this:

Yeah, you have a point there. He could easily travel between worlds, not sure why he had to show up like that. Also, I was under the impression that Loki was already controlling Selvig in the end of Thor but in the beginning of the Avengers movie he was not under his control. Go figure. I guess it was just a coincidence that they said the same thing in the end of the Thor.

Loki was NOT on earth.

He was watching, and possibly manipulating. Kinda like he went up on the planet thing with the Chitari, even though he was still on earth.

He could only physically get to earth from the cube.

Can't see your video :(

Are you referring to BW telling Banner they kept certain individuals off his scent?

*waits for Mike to provide definitive answer :lol

Still doesn't make sense. They're not robots. :dunno

You can see a little light in the alien warriors helmet/head. That light goes out when Tony blows up the mother ship. They were probably linked to the mother ship. That explain what happened. It's pretty lazy, but still.

Ok, makes sense I guess.

When he went to see Thor in the Thor movie he just used the bifrost bridge.

Anyways, he just temporarily manipulated Selvig in Thor.

Maybe not. Whedon directed that scene, and he has a habit of people saying the same line of dialogue, but with a different context.

Why the Department of Defense refused to support The Avengers

But I still don't see how that'd keep them alive. One even took off his mask and screamed before getting squashed by Hulk. :lol

So my girlfriend says to me at the end: "The Black Widow's power -- is it that her blood is full of Midichlorians?"

I can't remember but someone rips out some kind of wiring in one of their necks you see spark and the body just crumpled. So that's why the mothership getting blown up didn't bother me.
