i went to see The Avengers 4 times in cinemas and kinda regret i didn't went to the last screening but i'm hoping to see it again on big screen as part of a movie marathon with The Avengers 2

Seriously?

We've got tons of them. Are they drying up?

The Drive-ins are pretty much headed for extinction. The movie companies are no longer going to be releasing on film starting next year, and for most drive-ins, the $100K+ cost to upgrade to digital projection is too much for what are largely mom and pop businesses that run on a shoestring.

Seriously. Most of the ones here in CA have given way to fleamarkets. :( Not even sure if the Capitol Drive-Ins are still around.

Its funny you mention fleamarkets, there is an old drive-in outside of my city that has become just THAT.

As for existing drive-ins, I have 3 within an hour drive of me.

Yup. :lol

I haven't lived in SoCal since 2005 but the drive-ins in SoCal are all but gone I believe.

One of the last drive-ins in Orange County was closed way back in 1998-1999 if memory serves me correctly.

The appropriate scents would have to be Apple Pie, Machine Oil, Sweat and Ozone :rotfl

I guess if any movie deserved six viewings it would be this.... :hi5:

Yup, would've taken them to TDKR viewing #2 yesterday, but it's too slow for my son (he's only 2) and my daughter fell asleep shortly after Bruce's breakage and I had to wake her up when he got back to Gotham so she could see the end. Just shows ya how different both movies are. :lol

I could see taking my son, almost 4, to the Avengers but he wouldn't make it 15 minutes into TDKR. The Nolan Batman films are just not made for kids, IMO.... The crap toys that are on shelves right now speak to that. There's not really a market for them umungst kids.... Unless we're talking 20-30 year old virgins like the ones we talk to daily here on SSF. Those guys are willing to fork out thousands for Nolan's chewed gum. :lol

Yup, I'm surprised Mattel can't see how stale and outdated the Kenner articulation is. :lol

Avengers is now the 2nd highest grossing film in the US behind Avatar, i know which one i prefer
