Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

:lecture

I think Cap's modern suit will look fine on the big screen. I remember reading all the complaints about Cap's WWII suit at first and now everyone sings it's praises! :lol

We won't know how the suit, and Evans, will look until we see the movie on opening day.

So everyone...please step away from the panic button.
Hopefully there will be some movie WARLOCK SORCERER SUPREME BLACK magic goin on to make it look good. I have my doubts but I'm sure they'll deliver in the end.

I'm with ya there for sure. Don't think it will look bad at all in motion. Yup, there was a lot of talk against everything with the Cap movie and it turned out just fine. Think a big ditto will happen with this one.

We'll just have to wait and see how the suit looks next summer and many people dined on crow after Cap came out.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I don't know, I just checked the CA:TFA thread and it seemed most people were put off by the first shots of what looked like Evans' chubby stunt double on the bike. When he started popping up in full costume from other scenes people seemed to come around pretty quickly.

I have yet to see a pic of Cap in his new suit (and there's been, what, over a dozen now?) where'd I say he looks "badass." More often than not he seems to look downright silly.

I'm not saying the movie won't still be fun. I still think the Green Goblin looked pretty ridiculous but the first Spider-Man was awesome. Too bad Whedon allowed what appears to be such a step backward in suit design for Cap.

**hugs October 25th on the calendar** ;)

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I remember that, Khev, I also remember that when the Cap Super Bowl trailer came out several Freaks hit the panic button and all the smack talk began from a select few.

All I'm saying is we shouldn't assume anything until we've seen the final product. :peace

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I always liked the design of the TFA suit. Can't say that at all for this one.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I'm sorry, but the costume looks ridiculous in this picture. Looks like a cosplay:

He looks terrible here. Hope it's better in the film. :lol

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Reminds me of a smurf for some reason. :lol

..his nose really sticks out.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

:lol :lol :lol @ that Cap crashes through 2nd story window!

That kid in the background yelling "That was awesome!" :lol:rotfl

That was awesome. :rock The one where you can see him running and the clip of him fighting Loki the suit looks fine in motion.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Well, he played it pretty damn well so I could care less if he has the "face" for it or not. He made you think he was Captain America in his solo movie and thats all that matters.

Pics of everyone look fantastic. Love how they blew the last one up of ScarJo. :lol

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

If acting was all that mattered give it to Deniro or Hoffman, but looks and muscle matter where Cap is concerned. You'd think with the dough he's being paid and the anticipation for the movie he would hit the gym more and down a few protein shakes.

He looked plenty big enough in the movie and in pub stuff for his movie and looks equally as good now. He played the role great and looked the part as far as I'm concerned.
