Gone of the Wind 200 million back then! :horror :thud:

More than The Incredible Hulk. :lol

Yeah, just imagine.. $200MM back in 1939 :thud::thud::thud:

Just to put this in perspective, in 1940, the average house price in the US was UNDER $3000.

Think about that for a moment.

Today the Average is about $165,000 - over 50 times higher

For anyone to suggest that Avatar is the highest grossing film of all time without a massive disclaimer for inflation is totally out of their minds :lol

I'm in NY, my small house was $520.000 :lol

I voted for TDK because it's the best movie that I've never seen! Bane deserves an Oscar. When he said "bfhfwwhdfhggghgothammbatnam", that was just genius.

Nolan versus Whedon. *sigh.

We're getting quality films dealing with comic book genre topics/characters. Isn't that enough?

Yeah. I think Dave closed the wrong thread... https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4434562&postcount=6

Also don't forget that the film was 4 hours (3 hour 44 minutes with a 15 minute intermission), so there were definitely fewer showings in a day. Pretty staggering when you think about it. :horror:horror

I'm actually surprised there's not a bigger lead considering it's up against the latest and greatest fad of the moment.

Fitting since the latest and greatest fad of the moment is going against the latest and greatest fad of a few years ago.
