Some Freaks would say that's blasphemy and that you have no taste.

I have no problem with Snyder.

For the record, the only Bat director I dislike is Joel Schumacher. Sorry, Jye.

Schumacher never wanted to make a movie like B&R though. He's quite candid on the director commentary that he hoped the financial success of Batman Forever would allow him to make the dark Batflick that he wanted but Forever's success only caused WB to double down on wanting the next film to be even more kid friendly. Schumacher says he was paid to make a campy toy commercial, nothing more, and that if you allow it to be nothing more than that it's actually quite amusing.

He is fully aware of how hated B&R but stated that he hopes that people at least realize that the hearts of everyone who made it were in the right place and that they still tried to make it fun and entertaining given the very narrow restrictions he was forced to adhere to.

I mean there is this group on Facebook I’m in where people are basically crying about “twilight Batman” or it being to long. It’s honestly strange. I think most people like it but you have a group who either are fans of one type of Batman or think every superhero movie now must be a cgi comedy fest with bright colors like thor.
There definitely seems to be a good amount of divisiveness on the ending, even among those who love the film. I'm almost inclined to think that the majority falls in the "the ending was a letdown" camp. Thankfully I'm one of those who thinks it was just perfect.

I don’t believe they filmed with Imax ratios.

Ok is everyone sitting.

Everyone I mean Star Wars fans specifically Khev lol

I just read that the cinematographer for the Batman was the cinematographer for Rogue One and he said that he specifically wanted to light The Batman like he lit Vader in RO! :thud:
Three hours of RO Vader lighting. :thud:

I have the infamous Transformers 2 Walmart exclusive bluray with Imax ratio.

Plus TDK and TDKR!
4K Aquaman has the IMAX ratios, as does blu-ray Avatar. Personally I'd prefer that filmmakers just ditch IMAX cameras altogether if they're going to continue the asinine trend of showing the expanded format in theaters and then cropping them at home. 65 or 70 mm in normal 1.85:1 ratio worked just fine for decades and there's no reason they can't go back to that. I love that 2012 Avengers fills the full height of my TV and without any idiot IMAX legal hoops to jump through.

No IMAX Dune or NWH on disc is just unforgivable.

Including IM1 which wasn't even filmed with IMAX cameras. :lol
Holy crap lol

Nolan killed himself filming with that super cumbersome unwieldy heavy Imax camera for just 28 minutes worth of screen time and WB thanks him by using the 35mm version on HBOMAX…

MEANWHILE…

IM1 gets filmed by the cinematographer of Saved by the Bell on an Ipad Pro and the entire movie is given the Imax treatment on D+

Excuse me while I….

B&R is 66 on super venom steroids and I appreciate it for being just that!

I love that dumb movie lol

On my 4th watch even the daylight national guard Batman didn’t bug me this time out.

The Gotham square garden arena battle I actually quite enjoy especially his freaking epic entrance!

His final shot in the movie on his bike looking forward and determined towards Gotham while leaving catwoman behind is absolutely amazing and now one of my favorite movie endings ever.

1:78 or 1:85 is perfect and captures plenty of the detail from the Imax shot.

Transformers 2 1:78 (Walmart only exclusive) when it opens up is a sight to behold even at only 1080p!

Same for TDKR obviously but as soon as Bane opens his mouth it ruins the Imax presentation lol

YES. :exactly: Final closeup of Batman on bike is an instantly legendary all time top tier ending. :rock

:lol :lol

Only way to watch BR2049 and Alita IMAX versions are via 1080p xFinity cable TV versions. So not even 1080p streaming quality just cable broadcast crap. :slap

I really enjoyed Bruce reading his journal as a narrator.
I totally agree. Often times for films like this narration comes across as cringy or distractingly bland and monotone (Deckard theatrical cut/T2 Sarah Connor) but Pattinson is just so chill in his delivery it really complements what's on screen without being overdone.

I can’t wait for the hot toys figures after seeing this. Hope catwoman gets made. Hopefully inart makes one cause Disney will be deep in hot toy’s ass for a while .
Cause DC sucks! Batman is all I need! Now onto 12 Dr. Strange variants.

Doctor Strange > Club Ho and Riddler's Facebook Group
Freaking HBOMAX can’t even put the proper Imax ratio of their premier billion dollar Batman movie TDK on their platform. :slap

Meanwhile D+ gives a proper Imax ratio even on their lower end MCU movies lol

Hold on to your TDK 4K discs boys and boys.

TDKR I use as a coaster lol

Speaking of which why is TDKR not on HBO Max?
The suits I guess just don't get it. No black bars! This is 2022!
