Yea sonic movie 2 could potentially be the best movie of 2022. Beating out everything like it did in 2020. Also I don’t want to stir up anything but there talks about it be nominated in the running for best picture. It was robbed in 2020
I never saw the first one. Never even played the game so I guess that's one reason why.

Stay away!

Far far away lol
The film was good...

I like one-location films, so I'm pretty excited for it. I hope it's VOD, I'm not watching it in theatres; but you get my point.

And don't say that Strange movie. I mean the next GOOD movie.

In dark nightclubs with loud music and the scantily clad women. Making the bad choices.

Your normie ways disgust me...

Also I think Batman as a series kinda plays around with the selective morality of the characters, like Catwoman is a villain but with a heart of gold, some of the other villans are evil but occasionally have a philosophical point it's just been taken too far, and Batman himself is always walking that line - he's fuelled by an aggressive desire for justice - but he's also a vigilante and doesn't mind hospitalising people who have it coming etc.

While it's been a while since I looked into it, the "Flashpoint Batman" story seems more suited to what a darker Batman film is trying to achieve. Instead of Thomas and Martha Wayne getting picked off, it's Bruce as a child instead. And Thomas Wayne goes full rogue and starts wiping out all criminals.

I'm all for a "detective" style Batman, but that's just logistically more suited for a prestige television show. Like an HBO short run with 3 seasons at 8 episodes each, something like that. Big budget, good name brand cast, draw in a good established direction, etc, etc.

The problem here is you can't have a gritty dark version of Batman unless he's just completely ruthless and will use guns and will kill people and will do anything to stop crime. Which will make people ask what makes that different from The Punisher. Well Frank Castle couldn't afford to have a giant C130 Ghost Rider gunship made custom built to aerially bombard criminals from the sky. Or drone strikes. Or field an army of tanks.

Flashpoint, aka the Thomas Wayne alternate storyline can give you that. And it's viable - the kind of grief a person goes through when they lose a child. I'm thinking of the way Cinemax and Alan Ball did Banshee, that type of unrelenting over the top type of grit and blood.

Probably inspired from drawings of real life wackos.

I can only imagine what darthkostis is coming up with. lol

I don't keep journals or diaries. Then the 5th dimensional imps watching my every move will know exactly what I'm thinking!

Besides, what wacky thoughts could I possibly have?
