In a world ravaged by crime, the entire island of Manhattan has been converted into a prison which houses the world's most brutal inmates. And when the President of the United States (Donald Pleasence) crash lands inside, only one man can bring him back: Snake Plissken (Russell), a notorious outlaw and former Special Forces war hero who, in exchange for a full pardon, descends into the decayed city and wages a blistering war against the captors. But time is short: in 24 hours, an explosive charge planted inside Snake's body will end the mission - and his life - unless he succeeds!

Studios still use that phrase? :lol

From Blu-ray.com - pretty psyched about this.

Awesome!

I was just going to post this to your visitor's messages. Knew you'd be excited.

For the one other person on this forum who actually saw the movie...

The Book Of Life will be released on Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD on January 27th.

For everyone else, this is a great, overlooked film from this year, hope you give it a chance when it comes to video.

I plan on getting it. I just didn't get the chance to see it at the theater.

EFNY is like Blade Runner for me, neither hold up.

Actually, BR I never liked from day one.

EFNY I did, but no longer.

Still has a great opening though, plus soundtrack.

The least said about EFLA the better.

Oh, one more thing, Big Trouble in Lttle China also doesn't hold up.
