For the one other person on this forum who actually saw the movie...

The Book Of Life will be released on Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD on January 27th.

For everyone else, this is a great, overlooked film from this year, hope you give it a chance when it comes to video.
Where from? I think I only have the regular on order from Amazon, but it has a shipped date of March 10th for me. :dunno
I recently downloaded Escape from New York to watch.... I havent seen it before. I'll be watching it on Friday....
I just watched it myself. Kept seeing Snake's sig and I figured why not? I loved it. Awesome film.

I'll get the EE of BotFA.

Then wait to see if a Extended Extended Edition complete set hits. If so, yes, if not... pass.

From Blu-ray.com - pretty psyched about this.

Escape from New York Collector's Edition Blu-ray

Shout FactoryScream Factory, the horror-thriller offshoot of independent film distributor Shout Factory, announced today that its upcoming Collector's Edition of John Carpenter's cult film Escape from New York will feature a brand new high-definition transfer which has been struck from a new 2K scan of an original interpositive. The release will be available for purchase on April 21.

Scream Factory has not yet officially announced all of the supplemental features that will be included on the upcoming release, but it has confirmed that in terms of content it will exceed the previous DVD special edition of the film.

Synopsis: Kurt Russell (Stargate) stars in a high-velocity sci-fi action-thriller from director John Carpenter (co-written by Nick Castle) that sets the screen ablaze with heart-stopping suspense, outrageous stunts and imaginative special effects. Bristling with riveting chases and hard-hitting fight sequences, Escape From New York is your passport to nonstop excitement!

In a world ravaged by crime, the entire island of Manhattan has been converted into a prison which houses the world's most brutal inmates. And when the President of the United States (Donald Pleasence) crash lands inside, only one man can bring him back: Snake Plissken (Russell), a notorious outlaw and former Special Forces war hero who, in exchange for a full pardon, descends into the decayed city and wages a blistering war against the captors. But time is short: in 24 hours, an explosive charge planted inside Snake's body will end the mission - and his life - unless he succeeds!

4th time I'm getting a version of this movie. This without a doubt the definitive version.

I'll have to pick up the version I've seen four times in the theater as a placeholder but yeah, I imagine the EE will instantly make the TE obsolete when it hits.

me too, Extended edition or GTFO
:exactly:

Yeah even though I want the box set I know I'll still have extra copies.

Also if anyone liked Big Hero 6, Target has exclusive steelbooks for it. Just saw it today.

Is there any region getting Big Hero 6 in 3D BD?

You'll probably need to order it from here which is where I got Maleficent 3D and will eventually pick up Frozen 3D as well: Sanborns en Internet - -Frozen: Una Aventura Congelada Bd3D

It only took a few days for my copy to arrive after I placed my order. The outer box will have Spanish text on it but the movie itself will play exactly as you saw it in 3D in the US. They don't have BH6 up for order yet but I keep checking.
