Awesome movie posters and home video covers are unfortunately for the most part a thing of the distant past. It boggles my mind that current "marketing" research has determined that movie-goers and consumers want images that are utter junk.

Easier to use photoshop than pay a great artisit to interpret your crappy films as something great. !

Thank the maker for the world of custom covers !

I'm still trying to get a refund on a couple of blu-rays i sent back in early May last year

It's definitely a lost art form.

Yep long gone are the days of great artwork.

I got this book a few years ago & I regularly flip through it admiring the brilliance of the Era

Shock! Horror!: Astounding Artwork from the Video Nasty Era: Amazon.co.uk: Marc Morris, Harvey Fenton, Francis Brewster: 9781903254325: Books

It's a joy to look at

A better tomorrow should be in the pipeline soon. Be patient. A good restoration is in process.

Oooh can't wait for that one of my best Heroic Bloodshed movies ever, just fantastic

It's the same with older vinyl record covers and what's on CDs these days. Sure they're smaller, but you can still get great looking art on them, but most don't bother. I have some older CDs that have brilliant art on them.

Love the original SR poster art- from an era when movie posters WERE works of ART themselves
