i agree, but the days of physical is nearing an end. People are similarly fine with lower quality mp3's coming out of crappy bass heavy headphones.

I like buying physical and making my own drm free digital copies if i want something while traveling or streaming around my house with plex.

Sad, but its probably not far off. DVD and blu ray players will start disappearing and TVs will start having hard drives or some sort for storage. It will be like how cassette tape players slowly disappeared from cars and how now most cars don't even come with cd players anymore.

it's going all streaming. Gives studios more control over everything and increased profits.

I don't know about that. Those degrade over time.

This push to VHS tapes is ridiculous let VHS remain dead, different than the resurgence of the LP.

DVD is the best way to go, they are better than VHS and better than digital streaming, a great middle ground.

No rewinding, they don't shred and they're not dependent on having internet.

If you're craving VHS nostalgia then use a regular 480p non HD DVD on a 4K TV, this will pretty much give you the same effect, without the need to rewind!
