I really like it. It's set during WWII but it's not a war film.

Actually, when I said corrected I meant original.
Original (correct version) on left, cooled version on right.
But yes, original is best.

Where is that from? Is the cooled version the last blu-ray version? Dammit -- the one I just got for $3.

Yup, the 2007 bluray VC-1 and 2013 bluray AVC both have the incorrect "cooler" color timing. 
The 2015 bluray is simply just a reissue of the 2013.

Some of those redo's look better and a few of the originals look better than the redo's

That redo just looks like the color temp setting on the TV was changed to "warm".
