Looks like Jungle Book won't be getting a 3D release, at least not anytime soon.

It really makes no sense to me how the pick and choose which films get the 3D release and which ones don't. Marvel, yes. Star Wars, no. Zootopia, yes. Jungle Book, no. Are they just throwing darts at a board when deciding these releases?

I think Pixar and Marvel have final say on if their releases should have 3D, not Disney. Why they'd then release Zootopia in 3D and not The Jungle Book or Frozen, i don't know

People would buy JUngle book and Frozen with our without 3D.
Zootopia needs that 3D push for most to buy it as it is somewhat lackluster in comparison.

They can, but they aren't moving forward with that technology.

Yes in theaters we were treated to 3D HDR for both TFA and CW and they both looked spectacular. But yeah apparently that won't be an option at home for the foreseeable future.

Depends on price tag. Not sure I can justify about 40 per film.

It's worth the reminder for those that don't know....there is no such thing as UHD 3D, just keep that in mind.

Not sure what it will cost in the long run. The Star Trek one is $50 (at this time), but that's with the ship. I figure it they'll be closer to $30.

I remember when AC-3 Dolby Digital laserdiscs were $60 each. Over $100 for a CAV Box Set. And that was in 1990's dollars. When you bought a movie it was a treasured keepsake.
