Best Buy has a BOGO on select Sony films.

Picked up Amazing Spideman 1 and 2 for $9.99, Zero Dark Thirty and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 15th Anniversary Edition for $9.99, and Fury and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for $5.99!

The Witch $5.99 in store had the slip cover.

Online $5.99 it comes with no slip cover.

I still can't believe Band of Brothers and The Pacific were $10 each.

Non tin but that's ok.

Switching to tv's, I am just saddened at the state of affairs that most consumers have no idea about.

Yes prices have been spectacular for 4K but customers are largely buying tv's that are missing crucial tech.

There are 4K with no HDR and no 3D.
There are 4K with HDR but only 1 version and not the 2 existing HDR formats.
Buy a 4K tv with the 2 existing HDR formats and there is no 3D.
Buy a 4K tv with 3D but there is only 1 HDR format and the 3D is active, not the superior passive.
Don't even get me started on buying 4K with HDR and it's a freaking edge lit tv, that's just crazy!

Bottom line, 2016 DOES NOT have the perfect tv.

Hopefully 2017 gives us a 4K:

Rear lit full array minimum 64 zones
Both HDR techs
Passive 3D

Is that so freaking difficult having those 3 items in one tv!

Rant over lol

I really feel bad for people dumping money on inferior products thinking they're getting superior tech.

Well for anyone that has invested into 3D movies they should feel the same way I do.

If you're not into 3D then the tv purchasing landscape is certainly better but not entirely healthy either because of the ongoing HDR confusion, LED output and panel quality and lack of content.

Sony the hardware company not making their PS4 Pro output 4K movies while microsoft the software company is doing so with their Xbox One S says alot about the confusion and battles going on behind the scenes.

The top 3 models that came close to perfection were:

1. Vizio's 80" M series (has both HDR but missing 3D)
2. Vizio's 75" P series (same problem as the M)
3. Sony's 75" XBR940D (has 3D but it's active and only has 1 HDR tech).

With no 4K Star Wars, LOTR, Miyazaki or Disney classics, Spielberg, Marvel, etc., I have absolutely no need to "upgrade." 1080p 3D is more than enough for me for the time being.

At $200 is the XBOS worth a buy for this purpose ?

I was reading that the one s won't playback Dolby atmos or dts x audio formats. That kind of kills it for me as I don't want my disc player to limit my setup options in the future.

Edit: looks like there's an update for Atmos...maybe the one s is still in the running. I might wait and pay more for Oppo's stand alone UHD player though.
