Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

The humble beginnings of a Tracey Walter (Bob The Goon) sculpt.
I must have this figure so I'm making this my first attempt at sculpting. I've got galactiboy to thank for the mess I've gotten myself in.:D

Any reference shots of this guy would be much, much appreciated.

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

You've got a good start... he's a hard guy to find images off, the only ones a google search turned up were super tiny.

What are you using for material?

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

Bob the goon as in Burton's Batman? The best place for images would probably be the DVD as I don't think he was very high on the promo pics list. I know when I tried to make my own Voldemort years ago, the only place with decent sized images was my DVD player. It worked out great, but I can't say the same for my sculpting.

Good luck though!

Yeah, not many images of this guy. There's a good one at TraceyWalter.com and a guy from another message board posted another good one. Both are black and white and both are front shots though. I need some side shots so I'll probably have to use the DVD like Buttmunch said.

I grabbed one of those small, $1.77 chunks of Sculpey. Perfect amount for a head sculpt.

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

I grabbed a cheap resin head sculpt off ebay for kicks and started cutting away and adding to and this is what i got so far for Bob the goon...

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

I think I'm done and happy with Bob's sculpt now. All I need is for the mohair and the bits and pieces of his outfit to start getting here and he'll be well under way.

awesome coco puffs bolo yeung boy! that is very impressive :chew

:mwaha

Thanks for the comments guys! This one is a labor of love. I've been wanting a Bob figure ever since I got my Joker and now I can see it will soon be a reality.:banana
There's just a couple more hurdles before he's done but the one that intimidated me the most was the sculpt.
The next big thing is getting his mohair hair to look right and making the small Joker face and card decals for his jacket.

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

This is a character I didn't think I'd want...but you've gotten me excited, Coco. He's really shaping up incredibly well.

And you are now the official HAT-MAKER for the Freaks.

Hatmaker Coco... :)

I assume you're gonna put "real" hair on him too? That will be awesome.

One thing: looks like the hat's crown could be a wee bit taller, if you look at the height of it in the picture relative to the length of the face.

Seriously Coco... THAT IS AMAZING. Not only does the head look great, but add that fantastic hat and it's sooo BOB. :rock

I'm really impressed man, cannot wait to see it finished. :rock

Re: Cocoboloboy's Crazy Customs

Email sent Coco! GREAT WORK! You have really done a great job on this.
Hat needs to be a tad taller...but great nonetheless!
