I know that is what I was looking for. All I could tell is they had differnt covers. No info whatsoever.

Well, the menu has CD - Digital - SE - LP as the options, I'm assuming digital probably means iTunes Store and things like that, but perhaps there's digital media and the SE includes that on a bonus disc. I'm still crossing my fingers it's extra music, but I have a feeling it'll be music videos and making of clips and stuff like that on a DVD bonus disc or something. No matter, it's not that much more in price than the regular and I've got mine POed since it's limited, though how limited is questionable.

I got the SE score ordered from Amazon, so it's all academic to me. Got the Art of Book from there also. Any collector cards??? I get those, especially Batman movies, and there seems to be NONE coming out. Weird. I must have cards for this one. Love those.

And, did anyone see that Hot Wheels Tumbler with Pod on Ebay? I haven't heard of a Hot Wheels one before....if that comes out, I will get it for sure.

First I'm hearing of the Hot Wheels, hopefully it's 1:18, I'll get that. I don't know anything of trading cards, were there cards for Batman Begins?

You guys are really that stoked about the music? That was the one thing I was disappointed with in BB. It just didn't have that grand hero theme I've come to expect from movies like this.

Everybody knows Williams' Superman theme, and Elfman made the definitive Batman score, imo (but it probably wouldn't fit in Nolan's setting). There's nothing like that in BB.

Maybe the bar is just set too high with those examples, but for A-list superheroes, I think a theme/score short of flipping amazing will disappoint.

To me, that's something that sets these movies apart, and I like that. Ya, Elfman made an iconic theme for the character, but I don't think it's necessary to have a definitive theme.

The score to Begins, and presumably TDK, subtly creates themes for the characters. Bruce actually has a strong theme for the torn, orphaned son side of him with that soft piano music used when they recap his childhood and when Rachel confronts him at the end. Then there is a sound that shadows Batman which is beautiful in its simplicity, it's not blatant like Elfman but it is there and I like it much more than Elfman's in your face themes. And I think it's safe to say they are themes because you can hear them in new tracks from TDK that go along with scenes of the same nature.

Anybody catch Bale's recent quote regarding the character of Robin:

"If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I'll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work".

It was posted at AICN so it has to be taken with a grain of salt, but if true it's music to my ears.

Yeah, I agree. I loved Elfman's Batman score. However, the score used for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin is very similar (at least, to me), and I don't hold those in very high regard. And unfortunately, those two films are what I remember whenever I hear the score.

I'm also fond of the BB and TDK score, it still manages to raise the hairs on the back of my neck on end whenever I hear it swell up at the end of the theatrical trailers (you know, when "The Dark Knight" title appears).

Perhaps we don't have a definitive Batman score yet. I think the same about Spidey, and X-Men, among others.

Yea, if you want a definitive Movie Score that will relate to the movie and stick with you, you have to hire John Williams. He hasn't done a "superhero" movie since Superman and I would love to see what he could do for another one. Almost every score that I have in my head has been written by him, they just stick with you.

Score is about the movie at hand. What Elfman did was perfect, he melodically added to the world Burton was creating; Burton's Batman's were more about the world of Gotham and the visuals, there wasn't as strong a sense of character and story with those films, where Nolan's films are more character and story centric, and the scores for his films are perfect because each moment is pushed to be more powerful because of the music. Elfman's stuff was fun, but Zimmer and Howard created something that really touches upon the audience's own humanity and draws them into the story further.

I love the BB score, very intense... and it has that "building of tension" melody that underscores the entire film. Very well done IMO. And TDK music, from what I have heard... pushes that a step further.

And while I love John Williams, I don't think his Batman music would be as classic as Superman was.

As talented as John is, there is a certain type of film and mood he's really best at composing for, and from anything I've ever heard of his, his music wouldn't mesh well with Nolan's Batman world.

Damn, it's hard not to click that link, but I'm going to refrain from doing it.

It's good, man. It isn't realy too spoilerish. It's an extension of the "good evening, ladies and gentlemen" from the trailer. I'd watch it, if I were you. It's incredible. Only 55 sec.

I love the way he eats the food.:lol:lol:lol

Definitely a great clip that doesn't really ruin or spoil anything--just whets your appetite for more. I was ticked when it stopped as I wanted to keep watching that crazy Joker.
