TDK is so close now :rock

"A year ago these directors and producers wouldn't dare give us a great movie, what happened."

"What are you proposing."

"It's simple, go see the Batman."

"I see now, the kind of filmgoer I have to be to see movies like this."

"No one will go see it with me, what would you have me do?"

"Endure. You can be the outcast. You can make the choice no one else will face, the right choice, going anyway."

"The wait is hardest just before the premiere, but I promise you, the premiere is coming."

"The cinema deserves a better class of film, and this is going to give it to us."

"You either go straight to DVD, or you play long enough to see yourself become a phenomenon.

Ok that's enough, sorry, just getting very excited, been anticipating this one for a long time.

The Long Halloween was a great read! Very cool story on Harvey Dent. I need to read the Killing Joke as well.

:lolAwsome!

Oh, I absolutely LOVE the Long Halloween. One of my most favorite Batman stories of all time. I love that I see so many similarities to that story in the clips from TDK.

And The Killing Joke is another classic, shows the Joker as I love seeing him. Demented and without remorse. :lol

I still can't get my tickets yet. I'm probably gonna have to miss the opening on the 17th and will probably have to watch it over the weekend. Will be waiting to see what all of your comments are after you guys watch it.

Just to join in on the festivities and excitement, I'm gonna add one with a nostalgic twist.....

"A man who quotes dialogue from the movie clearly has issues" :D

:joy

*Why are there no Batman smileys? :D*

On another note, I stopped by the shop where I pre-ordered my HT Batman and Joker and my name's #1 on both lists! I hope there are no delays! I was told it should arrive end of July. Here's to hoping!

Can't wait for this.

Hey guys, what is the best Joker comic book/graphic novel? I'm heading to the book store and want to pick up a Joker-centric Batman book.

The Man Who Laughs.

BEST JOKER BOOK EVER

THe 6 issue run of Batman Confidential (issues 7-12 ) was very very good as well. A different take on the origin of the Joker. It's sure to be a graphic novel release at some point, but If you can find all 6 issues I'd say pick them up, they are definately really quite good.

I think I've decided on grabbing "The Man Who Laughs" and "Arkham Asylum". I may pick up "The Killing Joke," because Heath Ledger used that as source material for the role.

"The Man Who Laughs" is okay, but beware it is very short and is only a part of the trade it comes in. It's good but isn't as good as Killing Joke or Arkham in my humble opinion.

Killing Joke changed several DC universe characters and thematically it is very close to what we've seen from Dark Knight.

IMO this film will make Ledger a "James Dean", something legendary and remembered for a long time!

…or Brandon Lee (The Crow). :naughty

Some pictures of a cardboard display I just put up. It printed on clear plastic so the pictures overlay each other when you pass it …very cool.

I waned to put up a big outdoor banner as well, but wasn’t allowed to do it yet …very frustrating. :banghead
